unsmooth power seat operation.

I remember reading that some people had some lurching/grinding or unsmooth operation of seat.

Honda just mailed us a "voluntary repair notice" for our 03 accord power driver's seat.
said that there may be something wrong. I don't have it here with me but essentially it summed up that the seat may not operate smoothly and may have some parts that need to be replaced.

Thought you all would want to know as I expect the TSX to have the same notice.

Yup, my TSX has the same problem and so do alot of others. I'm willing to bet my life that the power seat mechanisims in the Accord are the same as in the TSX's.

I recently had the seat track lubed up and the problem is less harsh but the grinding is still there none the less. Thanks for the update. I may call Honda Canada and ask them about the TSX.

Thanks T.O. -- great heads-up!

I started it on the other side about this. At first only a couple of people said they had the same problem, but gradually it's been more and more. Seems to be a very widespread problem on the TSX.

We move the seat almost daily, if not at least 5 times a week so you can see why this would bother me so much.

A lot of people said that kind of thing. Surprised me. I change the position all the time, especially on long trips. I would have thought that almost everyone moves it around (just for themselves). Guess not.

I went to adjust my seat this morning and went all the way back by accident, then moved forward to the correct position and regretfully noticed the grind. I hadn't until just this morning.

Because only the driver seat is power operated. Passenger seat is manual.

What? An Accord EX-L and V6 get both seats power and the TSX doesn't?
