TSX question

Ok, I was at the Acura dealership today to look at an RSX. To my right was an TSX. A halo surrounded the damn car. It's a real eye catcher.

Anyways, my buddy and I sit in the RSX. It's cramped as hell. Not that roomy, very tight.

We sit in the TSX and holy shit, it's incredible. I absolutely love it. Very roomy, very comfortable.

So here's my question, do TSX's come in different packages or basically it is what you see is what you get? The TSX is about $5000 out of my price range, so is there anyway that I could get some " options " removed? can this be custom ordered? All I have is $30,000CDN plus applicable taxes.

Am I SOL?

I cant help you with the canadian $ amount, but in USD the TSX is basically manual or auto, and nav or no nav. With nav your looking at $28,500USD, without nav it's $26,500USD.....There are no options to take away, everything is standard...but ofcourse you can find all this out on Acura.com........

You're screwed. The only option is the navigation system. In the U.S. the base model MSRP is $26,900 and the only way to lower the price by $5,000 would be to sleep with the dealer.

The good news is that the TSX is worth compromising your morals!

Hahah....funny shit!

You're SOL. If you have enough to buy an RSX, just save up a little more or just finance the rest. You will have no regrets. You're already complaining that the RSX is cramped! Why even think about buying it then?

Maybe you could work a deal to sleep with the receptionist for $2500 off?

Dammit,

I was thinking to get rid of the leather, the cd changer ( i'm installing a better system anyways ) and that wood grain finish. No Nav and probably MT.

That probably would bring the price down to my price range.

If only it could work that way...

I'd gladly sell back my moonroof and heated seats -- what are they worth to ya Acura?

Since you started out looking at a 2-door, I think the car you want is the Accord Coupe LX V6.

You should be able to spec it to your taste.

Worst case scenario, you'd have to drop the v6 to get the price down but with a stick shift the four is plenty fast.

I don't like the Accord coupe. They are too " long " for a 2 door.

I'd actually prefer a 4 door, since the insurance is cheaper. I don't know how much exactly....

Buy a 4-cylinder Accord. You'll be even less cramped and it will be right in your price range. You shouldn't be able to buy a luxury car for less than 25 grand anyway.

actually the accord will fit the budget. But I like the acura better.

I've got a year to go before purchase so hopefully I'll be able to pull it off.
