TSX pricing in ALBERTA for auto+Nav

I was wondering if you guys could give me some help on what the invoice price of a TSX Nav would be in Alberta. I know what the MSRP is ($39400+$1200Freight/PDI = $40600), but I don't have the first clue what the invoice is. I did a search and could only come up with invoice for non-navi models.

My mom is seriously seriously considering this car. Once she found out that she could get it for less than $800 a month, she jumped back on its bandwagon. The thing is, the dealer has no Black/parchment auto Nav's on the lot, so this is going to affect our haggling. I don't know how much of a disadvantage that will give us though. Basically we want the after tax price to scrape no more than $41k if we can. Any Alberta people who bought a Nav recently?

On the road? So about $35,600 before taxes and freight then? Very nice price.

Invoice Price works out as follows:

Base: 32,108
Auto: 1,104
Freight/PDI: 1,200
Air Tax: 100

[edit]: Sorry, forgot you wanted Navi....didn't price that option out in my invoice report.

So, total for an Auto would be 34,512....then add on GST and whatever other options you want.

I really like West Side....mainly for their service guys too. I bought an EL from them in 2001, and my dad may just buy a TL from them next month (given the nice finance deal on the TL right now). I'll probably be buying a TSX from them in April or so next year.

I always have this fear that if you don't buy a car from a certain dealership, the service guys aren't nearly as nice to you later....and to me, the service after the sale is more important than the sale anyway.

Invoice for Navi is 3,036.

Here's how I would figure it:

Base: 32,108
Navi: 3,036
Auto: 1,104
Freight/PDI: 1,200
Air Tax: 100
===============
Invoice Total: 37,548

Add: Dealer profit $500
Document fee ~$300

Subtract: Factory to Dealer Navi rebate: $1000

Total: $37,348 * GST = $39,962

Yup!
Glad to hear it was a pretty good deal. You never know what those car salesmen have up their sleeve.

Thanks to you and Mike for your help. This will really help us in dealing. How long is that Factory to dealer rebate on the Navi going on for? We don't want to rush into a deal.

Yeah I have the same fear about the service. And they personally know me at that dealer already.

Yeah, that *IS* the question !

The rebate and financing/lease rate is good for the same period July 1st, 2005 to August 2nd, 2005.
So I guess today would be the last official day. Will it continue ? Its too early to know.

If the 2006 changes weren't released yesterday, I think I would be down at the dealership today trying to make a deal for a 2005 that's on the lot.

Damn, she's not even getting the 24 test drive until tomorrow.
I like the changes for 2006, but we're kind of on a tight schedule. The reason is that her 1994 Chrysler Intrepid ES has a dying tranny! We wanna get rid of it before it blows and is worth $0!

YoungTL: i am in your same shoes!
i am looking for a TSX, auto/navi, 2005!
my best price was 38ish + taxes (remember in Quebec we got the highest taxes, umm, do you guys only have 1 tax?!? cause we have 2)
so that comes to 44ish

not sure what to do....i found a 2004 TL in toronto going for 33k, might go for it rather than the TSX and save money, but i really prefere the TSX than the TL...

Unhappy Service fears

A couple of things:

1. The posts in this thread assuming that a dealer's cost = invoice are a little off-base. There are many Acura incentives to dealers, which vary over the course of the year. Notwithstanding that, dealers make very little on the sale of a new vehicle. The real earners are the resale of your trade, and service. So don't worry about buying one place or for a low price and getting good service - the dealer sends his kids to private school on service.

2. If you traded in a car, the price you paid on the TSX sales agreement may be misleadingly low -- it is only part of the story. The dealer figures the potential profit on your trade into the transaction, and shows you an amazing $35K on the bill of sale, while topping it up to or over MSRP through the trade-in allowance.
