TSX OEM Navigation Installation

I recently purchased a 2004 TSX 6 speed manual without a navigation system. Is it possible for the dealership to install the oem navigation system and hands free, or should I just buy an aftermarket system.

Welcome! Don't get it done by the stealership. They'll take your arm and leg.

Even if you wanted to do it on your own, you're looking at a lot of $$ and labor.

If you want a more streamlined look, and have a couple grand to spare, I'd say you can get the OEM navigation retrofitted.

If not, I'd go with an aftermarket unit.

Dont waste your time and money. Buy an aftermarket system.

Just get a phone with a huge screen and a nav app.

Go aftermarket, you'll save lots of money, and you can get better sound from it. So just go to your local car audio place and get a unit from them and get them to install it for you. I for one would pick up one of the new Kenwood double din head units my self, they are some of the best out there for aftermaket, plus garmin GPS makes the update for kenwood navi systems, so you can always be up to date with them.

If you really wanted the OEM system, there is a thread or two in the TSX area of the forum where people did the whole install by themselves.

Even by yourself, it's the unit itself isn't cheap, and the installation in both cases I wanted to say took them close to a week (for those that really did it by themselves...after work and on the weekend, etc) to do the install.

But if you're looking for the completely streamlined look like that and aren't intimidated by it all, go for it.
