man, I love trolls...

I remember back in college, the English as a Second Language used to be behind our house...
We called it E.S.errrr...
One more thing, and I ain't being insensitive to other cultures...
Why do Arab kids always think they can park anywhere? I used to have signs up at our frat house that said it was private parking and they still parked and acted like they didn't know. So, after trying to be nice and telling them to park elsewhere and telling the staff to tell their students so, I just started to have the cars towed... it was great!!!

Nothing like seeing spoiled rich kids whine about their BMWs, Porsches and MBs being towed without warning... then they would say they didn't see the sign... yea, it's right there in plain engrish...

Junkster, who also had good Arab friends as well

Mb?

My TSX has non-of the problem you mentioned but my wife's german VW
and my dad's MB SUV has tons of electrical problems. (Alarm goes off by
itself on rainy days, electric rear view mirror sometimes not working,
most of the back light bulbs need to be replaced in just 2 years, engine
stalling on cold-start, engine check light comes on because of faulty
oxygen sensor that had been changed twice. Yes, German cars are
machinically execellent but it's a electrical disaster.
1 out of 10 bad ratio for japanese cars is better than 8 out of 9 bad ratio
for german cars. Even american cars have good ones that last. Just depends
on luck that's all. Odds are you have less problem with japanese cars, but it's
doesn't mean you won't get the bad lemon.

Speaking of Mercedez, my friend drives the c230, and he has a lot of problems as well, (sunrooof rattle, brake defect, alignment defect).

The funny thing is, we both joke about how we should've gotten each other's car.

Ill put it to you this way....The Germans love to drive and thats true(Autobahn). But that says nothing about how they make there cars. Its all about the name of it being able to say " I drive a Bimmer", Its a status symbol for yuppie rich kids(in this case) that don't deserve them.
Example...The Gap or Old Navy same company, Abercrombie & Fitch or American Eagle once again, same company why the price difference? Its the Name. Thats all. I think a job and a dose of real life will do this little troll some good. Get a job or join the Military and do something with your life. And stop wasting our time.

Lets not get all caught up in the German autohahn stuff. They make diesal Benzes, BMWs and Audis. They make a A2 and A3 which would be considered trash here. THe C hatchback is laughable. THe BMW 1 is a joke. THey sell 4-cylinder engines left and right with their badges. And the use them for taxi cabs. These companies are smart in that Americans won't purchase such cheap crap and won't bring them here. Remember the 318 hatchback. A DISMAL failure here.
Both countries make great cars and the TSX is as far from crap as Daewoo is a premium luxury car maker. Sad to hear about your car, the TSX ain't perfect but one of the best new cars out for the money.
Funny but the TSX aka Accord in Europe has gotten rave reviews there and is being considered one of the standards for FWD excellence. So in Europe, it's beating the Germans.

This is not a minimal statement, considering the quality of FWD cars such a Peugeot's 206, 307, 406 and 607s. They have been long considered to be among the best, most well balanced FWD cars built in the world. And I can tell you for having tried some it's a shame we can't enjoy them here.

As far as I'm concerned....if you want to go fast around a racetrack in a stock car (under $100k)...go japanese, 9 times outta 10, u'll be faster than your German/Italian rival AND you'll have fun as well..

German cars are just built differently...that don't make them better

closing this thread. this discussion is heading southward as I type.

we have discussed German vs. American vs. Japanese engineering/build too many times to count in this forum, so if you want to discuss those issues, do a search and continue those threads.
