Tsx driving misconceptions

well, i couldn't think of a better thread name, but so far i have driven the Tsx, you've probably got stares from other drivers and wtf reactions right?

bad thing is that how come honda drivers want to race my Tsx? today there was this guy in an old civic that was driving like a jerk and cut me off and i was driving normally, going only 5 over. then a guy in the old 6th gen acccord i used to drive wanted to race my Tsx at a stoplight. why do they think the Tsx is a racer car?

while on the other hand this lady and her friend waved at me in their new TL and they were on the other end of the stoplight going the other way, when i was turning left.

my observations are i think acura drivers are nicer to other acuras (well most of the time), while honda drivers are jerks to acura drivers?

i apologize if i write too much
:P , but its great to talk to fellow Tsx owners, we are a family and are all going through the same ownership experience together.

Perhaps the Honda drivers are a little jelous and would like to prove to you, and to themselves, that their Honda will do just as well as our Acura. As for Acura drivers, we have nothing to prove, we simply acknowlede other Acura driver's, and our own, good taste.

Most Hondas have that reputation. I'm not surprised.

Just ignore the morons and enjoy the car. Why waste your time (and not to mention your ever increasingly expensive gas).

I always make it a point in those instances to let other drivers who are seeking sophomoric competition like that to have a nice solo race on their own; let them burn their own gas and put stress on their own engines, transmissions, and brakes. As an observation, I notice that Ford Focus are the ones that speed and weave more than other cars on the intersate. Van drivers are the most reckless and least considerate.

'04 TL immune from this?

Seems my '04 TL is ignored by the Honda's out there, only guys in Mitubishi's, Audi's and BMW's seem to want to go at it.

Dan, check the post by gcolby03. Thats where the Ford Focus was mentioned. Ben just took off on a tangent and then turned 90 degrees from there. I could just picture you reading his post and thinking "WTF?"

I don't know, but I had an Audi A8 tonight on the highway get pissy because I passed him.

Whatever. I'm not racing grandad's car on a 55 MPH highway with one big continuous "work zone" and cops on the loose (big push lately for traffic fines).
