Where are you located? If it's somewhere hot, then tint it fast =)

Tint it if you like tinted cars. 20% is pretty dark...some might like the contrast (your PWP and dark tint), although I think the contrast is too much. 35% might be too light for you...it all depends on your tastes.

You might also want to get the rear windshield tinted really dark, and then tint the side windows a little lighter (to lessen the chance of a cop pulling you over).

If you have a navigation system, you need to get a particular type of tint (dye or ceramic). You can't get metallic tint, or it'll screw up your navigation system's ability to obtain a good signal.

The answer is of course tint, if its worth the $ to you. Looks are subjective, but the added privacy and heat rejection are not.

  • Always use a reputable shop, install quality is at least as important as the tint itself.
  • If you have nav, look into ceramic tint. Otherwise, metallic is the best bang for your buck.
  • Also think about getting felt/moleskin installed in the window sills, because the TSX is among a segment of vehicles that tend to scratch tint due to the rubber seal design (debris gets stuck in there and dragged on the window).
  • Use search for tint pictures in the different shades (i.e., 20%, 35%, etc) to decide what you want, also look at www.tintdude.com for state by state laws

I forgot to mention...I think some people might use metallic for the side windows, and ceramic for the rear windows to save money

Stay with one tint all around is best. I got 35% all around. Perfect.

I did 6% all around. If I had to do it again, I'd do 6% in the back and 15% up front. Just an FYI for you guys.

Tint looks very sharp on white cars. The contrast is what makes it look so sharp. I like the lighter color cars with as dark as tint as possible. But any tint looks good.

Question:

Will tinting affect my usage of an aftermarket GPS with internal antenna (TomTom)??

Depends on where you put the GPS antenna and also whether you get a metallic tint. For example, if you get a metallic tint on the rear window and put the antenna on the rear deck, you'll probably have some problems.

If you put the GPS antenna on the front windshield, you'll be fine.
