Tinting question
First off I just wanted to hello to everyone. Thank you for all the great postings from everyone it really helped me on deciding to buy a TSX.
Ok, back to the posting. I've never had my windows tinted and was wondering what I should expect to see. Should I expect to see a couple of tiny tiny bubbles for a few days?....or should it be perfect at first install?
Thanks for the help.
When I get a chance I'll post pics of my TSX purchased last month.

Yes, the first week or so, you may notice VERY SMALL bubbles, haziness, weird reflections, etc. as the adhesive and whatnot settles. You *SHOULDNT* ever see large bubbles, purple spots, seams, etc. Just wait a week and see how it turns out.

The film is heated up and then placed on the inside of the windows. There is a chance for the tint to peel/bubble/fade. Which is why you need to see what kind of tint you are buying. There are a few different types of tint.
1] Tints that use Dye. These tints WILL fade after a few years. They have more of a chance that they will bubble or peel.
2] High Performance tints, do not use dyes and will not peel or fade. I received a lifetime warranty on my tints for any defections. It cost around $50 more but its worth it.

I was concerned about the gps antenna, but it had NO effect. I asked the people beforehand and they said there has never been a problem with GPS antennas including other cars they've done.
You *need* to get metallic if you want high-quality, long-lasting, non-fading tint. There is such a small amount of metal inside that it shouldn't make a difference.
I think my FM antenna might have decreased a bit in quality, though. But I have XM, so who cares.

When you get tinted don't roll down the windows for at least 3 days, little did i know that when you hit the unlock button twice andhold it, that all the windows go down, i wasnt paying attention and this happened, thank god the tint was dry or that would have been 250 down the crapper

Take note that you may want to avoid using metallic tint on the rear window if you have a navi system. The manual claims it may screw with GPS reception.

Be careful if you tint the front windows also (depending where you live). I got pulled over last night for tinted front windows. I was let of with a warning, but I hate getting pulled over anyways.

I know in California it's legal to buy the car with front windows tinted (like Honda Accords are), but getting AFTERMARKET tint on the front windows is illegal.
Gotta love this state. Such strange laws.
