Does anyone know of a good tinting place in central NJ?

There's a place on Rt 1, right next to the new Paul Miller Saab in edison. They're pretty good, and good price too. I can't think of the name of the place. You can also try place the place on Rt 1, next to the Volvo dealership in edison also, but they'll little more $ i think. Actually don't go the one next to Volvo. They are EXACTLY the same as the Zippos on RT 18, but they just charge more. Same owner, same material, same skill, everything, just more money..... so go to place next to saab or zippos on rt 18.

Thanks. I think you are talking about The Tint Shop (http://www.tintshopinc.com/homepage/). I called them and they said it would be about $139 for the basic or $189 for the lifetime warranty stuff (just rear windows and back window - staying legal in NJ). I am just trying to find out if that is metallic. I have the Nav system and although I read here that it's fine, I don't want to chance it.

anywhere closer to princeton/new hope???? Edison is a little farther than id want to travel!!! AND....so basically you got quoted for under 200 for a legal tint????

I live in Princeton (near) and I could not find anything closer, I asked around. Edison is far for me too.

that really sucks....i actually live in princeton too but we are moving to new hope when our house is sold. HOw did you find theplace in edison??? Did u ever look in the flemington area?

I havent done it yet. The only thing that concerns me is that he does not use the felt that is supposed to stop scratching when opening and closing. They guys at Autosound on Quakerbridge road reccomended them to me as well. I wich I would find a closer one, but I could not.

Look for Street Dreams located in Bloomfield.

I got mine tinted 20% for $130 including 6% tax, they also give you a life-time warranty, which is quite a bargain.

I live in Princeton as well. I was toying with the idea of getting the windows tinted, but the NJ regulations say that the front windows have to stay untinted.

I'm not sure how this will look, so to date I have not done anything. Post some pictures if you get them of how this looks.

Edison huh? Seems like other people go to fun places, like Dave and Busters...Don't know, never went to a meet before.

I want tints soooo bad but couple things bother me.

1. scratchs (read about on this board)
2. my Navi singal issues if used the wrong kind of tint materials
3. NJ law
4. I want that reflective tint (Looks sorta like mirror tint) not the black limo tint.
5. price/warranty on the tint job.
