For those with Navigation..

Looking to buy a TSX w/Nav in the next few months. Finally had the chance to see and drive one w/Nav today.

What is the slot on the left hand side of the CD-Rom box in the trunk? It said something about a "card". The sales person didn't know either.

Is for the operating system update.

I own a MDX and the link below says plenty about the Nav.

I think it's effectively useless now though... a legacy remnant because the DVD map now also updates the firmware, right?

According to Acura the slot is for future upgrades and diagnostics. In other words it is not used and probably won't be.
