I recently changed the battery on my '03 TL-P and my radio asks for a code. I believe I have the code, I looked it up on youtube. Holding down on "1" and "6" (on the radio controls) before turning the radio back on gave me a 10 digit code, 3001 5612. I tried typing it in on the screen but the "Navigation door unit is open or no DVD Disc installed" screen pops up seconds after turning the car on, not letting me type the code in. Do I have to purchase the Navigation disc? I got the car without any disc, I dont normally need navigation.. I guess in the case I might need it. Is there a way around having to get a disc?

 

The input code screen only lasts for two seconds, interrupted by the navi door being open/no disc installed screen.

 

The navi and radio have separate codes if you dont have the codes you will have to call up acura to get the codes. the numbers your getting from the radio are not the actual codes for either system those are the numbers they use to tell you the code for the radio only.

 

radio code is 5 numbers-nav is 4 numbers
