New JL Audio System With Pics.....

08 TL new system. Front doors JL TR650CSI, rears JL TR650CX, sub 10w3-2. Amp JL XD700/5.Took out the stock sub and left the center channel alone. Had dynamat installed on rear deck. The Audio Control LCQ-1 works great with my stock navigation.. Sounds great!!!!

My bad i thought that was only a 2 channel amp. How does it sound and what enclosure is that. whole install looks really clean.

Had it done at Autosound Lab in Fresno,CA.The box is a custom fiber glass box that they did for me. It sounds really good just what I wanted not too much.

Im in the middle of figuring it out for mine. gonna use the Icon box but same sub and speakers as you have. Probably use the amp you did as well. Compared to stock system how would you compare im not looking to rattle the car next to me either just want good clean and def louder than stock plus i hate the sub in this car.

Sounds like the shop has good taste. Not sure how anything in this thread hints at JL being shoved down anyone's throat though.

Puddin, if you're ever in Bakersfield, I would like to hear your setup.

I like the trend over the past couple years with people being more creative and more daily driver friendly installs, retaining space with little to no compromise in SQ instead of a huge box taking up the trunk. Nothing wrong with the mainstream way of shoving a huge box in a trunk but it's fun to see how little you can compromise.

Wouldn't call a w3 and those 650 csi's "good taste"

Clean install, though.

The W3 is nice especially for a solid stock upgrade. The TR series is barely an upgrade over stock. I wasn't going to say anything, maybe his sounds better than mine did. I think the only thing you gain over stock is a little more spl potential, more excursion. I would have skipped the rears and used the money for some C5s which sound similar to Dynaudio to me. I think thats JLs best bang for the buck and I like the sound better than their ZR set.

But again, I'll never bother with a 6.5" ever again, especially considering how incredibly easy it is to do 8s and even 9s in the TL. The overall gains I got in SQ and everything by going with a cheaper, lower line but larger speaker was amazing. I will probably get annoying but I plan to always suggest at least an 8" to anyone who asks a about upgrades. Just my opinion.

Take it easy dude... Damn, its not like that "WOLF" T-shirt is good tatste either...But not once have I seen some one comment on that...Oops! I just did I for one, If u are happy with it, GOOD FOR U! and thanks for show us all what makes u happy. Not everyone can afford "High End" shit eggy. I speak for myself doing things on the cheap and doing my own build because I can pay for the "BEST" or what one calls "Better".

Nice install! very clean! + trunk! That is my cup of tea no matter what brand or model u have. Its all about FUNCTION! with a touch of custom.

Great looking install. Are you still able to adjust the subwoofer volume using the factory head unit?

What are some options for 8" component sets besides Dynaudio?
