Stock TSX vs OEM bodykit

On 2006 and up, I heard that there is not much of a difference between stock TSX and oem body kit TSX. Is that a true?
Is the rear body kit realy that ugly on the 06 and up.

Here are a few pics of my MY06 Euro Luxury (Australian) with the full OEM Body Kit, M3 style rear trunk lid lip spoiler and Euro R Grille.
The body is almost identical to your TSX. I really like the OEM Modulo Kit and I don't think the rear lip kit is ugly at all. I think it brings the rear of the car down nicely and sets it off well.

I know the rule here is that if you can't say anything nice, then........., but since you brought it up, I think all the body kits that I've seen pictured on this forum look like just what they are: ill fitting, tacked on pieces that take away from the natural outstanding design of the car (especially the 04's and 05's)(I've got both, an 05 and an 07 so I feel I can state my preference for the earlier generation). There's no natural flow from the OE bumpers and sides of the car into the added on pieces and it shows. Probably starting a fire storm here, but sorry it's my opinion and I'm curious if there's anyone else that shakes their head when they see one of these "kits".

Just look at some pictures and see if you can notice the difference. For the OEM kit, I could barely notice it for a long time (actually, I've only started to notice it recently). I think it's because most of the people who post pictures have a black TSX. On a PWP, you'll notice it a bit more. For example, the foglight housing is black to try to make it look as if the foglight is mounted in an open area (stock it's body-colored, so you can see it).

The rear basically moves the red reflectors so that it's even with the rear bumper.

I have my eyes on the Euro-R kit...the front is more noticeable.

Well...

I'm actually so disappointed with all of the body and lip kits for
the TSX, '08 that is, that I'll probably not get any of them.

I agree, that OEM front just looks like a taped on panel to add
a bit more of an aggressive line, nothing more.
It's far from seemless too.

The Euro R is a bit more seamless, but it really doesn't add very
much visual appeal to me at all.

I'm hoping another choice or two will come out.
Hey Rondog, where's your kit for the TSX huh?

I like the A-Spec kit on my 04, it makes it more aggressive looking in the front.

yeah the kits aren't too appealing but then again, what stock kit is? you can always find the outlandish aftermarket kits but i wouldn't want something too flashy from the factory.

I'm with you Cali4TSX.
The rear skirt is one of the nicer ones I've seen and integrates really well. If you park one car wiht the rear skirt next to one that is identical except for the rear skirt and look at them directly from the rear ..................... well what can I say the skirted car looks heaps better and you don't get to look under the car any where as much.
Cheers

06 sides
04-05 euro r rear

I like the front oem 0405
sides fit well with euro r
but not oem 04 05 cuz of the big flare in the back

Aspec is oem its the orginal body kit basically it flares out more towards the back

That is why i didn't mix an 04-05 rear spoiler cuz of the flare.
