1 ticket in 3 years...

I was doing 110 when I saw a turn coming up, I slowed down to 80+ for the turn; and right there and then, a CHP cruiser was waiting for me. I was lucky. He mentioned I was doing 85 and wrote me up for 75, so I could do traffic school. I just acted really nice -- I mean, I was doing almost twice the speed limit only 100 yards earlier... what could I say?

Since then, I never drove over 95 mph.

A friend of mine was pulled over in a similar situation: she lost her license for a year.

No tickets in the TSX, but some in the old car ('00 Grand Am SE). Just got over a Prayer for Judgement this last summer (long story)

I've been smarter in the TSX, I do speed, but not retardedly.

Ive gotten too many speeding tickets to count. At one point I was one ticket away from having my license taken away. Luckily I still have not gotten one in my TSX.

Having beer or any other alcoholic beverage in the back seat of your car is not against the law, unless you've been drinking it.

To the original poster, fight the ticket no matter what, especially if it was a radar ticket.
Rader picks up the biggest return, and since you were passing a gigantic radar target at the time(the semi) the cop couldn't have possibly got an accurate reading of your speed.

I'm too lazy to explain it, but Google "cosine effect" for an idead of how radar can be inaccurate, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

^^ Common sense tells me if you're passing a vehicle that the radar says is speeding would indicate you are going even faster.

Well lets see i driving on my to my nieghborhood, and theres this bridge thats pretty wide and a great straight away that everyone speeds on, well before that bridge i saw a cop go by, and about 2 min later i was on the bridge doing 50 in a 45, then all of a sudden a silver Porsche 911 went speeding by me on a double yellow lane road at like 90mph, wow what an idiot because a he dodged a car on the bridge that was at least 100 feet in front of him, anyways i was like ok and for some stupid reason i started to speed up to see why this guy was in such a hurry. Basically there was to bends and at the second bend of the road i lost sight of him and i wanted to speed up to see were this asshole was going. I floored it to about 60 and then i saw him and slowed back down to 45, the legal speed limit. About 30 seconds later I i saw a cop behind me. I was like dang he prolly going after that porsche, but no he just stayed behind me for about minute or two and as i was turning into the nieghborhood he turned his lights on and pulled me over. Being an idiot cause this was my first speeding ticket and ony speeding ticket, i forgot to ask for the gun to see how fast i went. He said i was going 64 in a 45 which is complete BS cause I only went 60, and i was like didnt you just see that porsche going like 100mph, and he said no.
My theory is that he clocked the porsche instead of me cause he randomly followed me to my nieghborhood for quite a while behind me, and didnt turn is lights on, and i think he thought i was the one speeding, but w/e i went to court and did 20 hrs of CS, 25 or alive course for 4 hrs, two 500 essays, and paid 150 for the ticket, but the lowered it to 59 in a 45.

Yea that sucked, i still think the porsche should've been pulled over.

It is in California. Alcohol has to be in the trunk.

I think an unopened container can be in the car with you but an open container has to be in the trunk.
