Alright, I'm pretty pissed becasue iv had my license for over a year now and not once have I gotten a ticket because of my precious Escort 8500 X50. Well, Last week my friends and I went to the movies in two cars. After the movie my friend jetted so he wouldnt have to drive anyone home which put me in a really bad mood because i had to go WAYY out of the way to drive every single person home which was like 4 other people. So i finally drop everyone off and im heading home and im going like 55 in a 40, and im going up this small hill where and i see headlights but i think nothing of it even though i usually slow down no matter what. Guess who's headlights they are, yup....the cops. So my radar goes off after hes goin down the hill then. I look in my rearview and here he is turning around. I didnt think it was going to be much of a problem becasue I know every cop in my hometown. So as i see him turning around i just stop becasue I know he's comming after me. Becasue my luck is so awesome, i didnt know this cop and got a ticket for 105 dollars and 4 points. I'm going to court becasue 4 points is A LOT. I have no idea what im going to say and i was wondering if someone can help me feel better about this situation. Pay the ticket or go to court and try to get some points removed? Any advice would be great. Thanks for the help.

and by the way, not to be a dick, but in your situation, its pretty much pointless to go to court, now on top of your ticket, u gotta pay a court fee. the only real chance ull get off, is if the cop doesnt show.
i say you pay the ticket, and forget it, because realistically the only chance you have, is to hire a lawyer, and thats gonna cost you, and at most, only remove mayve 2pts.

 

I woulda got the Valentine 1, but i didnt feel like havin a VCR hangin on my windshield haha. and keep in mind this is my first offense ever, they gotta be a little leniant (sp?), right?

 

^not much bigger than the escort, i got mine hardwired and mounted right below the rear view, hardly notice it.

but this is ur first offense so i think u can get the points taken away and just pay a heftier fine..or atleast have hte points reduced....and u still have the chance that the cop won't show...good luck man BTW where in jersey are u from?

Damn that sucks man, ive had my license for a year. Still havent even been pulled over. I've been pretty damn lucky.
