If I'm not mistaken, that's the interior temperature gauge.

What's the blue light up near the sunglass compartment? I think it's a microphone...

I think the blue light is a low-level interior light for nighttime driving.

The speaker looking thing next to the blue light near the sunglasses holder is the microphone for the Navi system.

Low level? It doesn't cast any light at all... Is it to help show where the mic is maybe?

Good question.

I'll read my owners manual and check it out and get back to you.

Thanks. CDN manual doesn't say anything, but then again, we have no Navi.

Nope it's there. Only when the parking lights are on.

Yes, there's another temperature sensor at the bottom of the windshield in the middle of the dash. It's used to sense sunlight.

I was told that that was the dust and pollen filter for the air unit.
This was by a Honda dealer during a test drive of an 04 Accord (US)

God, i hate that place more and more.

What the f*@k do you mean...

The little blue light is on whenever the parking lights and/or headlights are on. BUT, although lit, it does not cast enough light to do anything with it....

It casts a gentle blue light on the console. Just enough for effect. I will have to go for drive this evening just to check it out again.

Yes, it's the temperature sensor. The other one is at the bottom, middle of the windshield. You can see it--it's round.

If you drive a 6MT check out the top of the shift knob at night; it'll have some minimal blue lighting from the rearview mirror on it. Most newer Hondas/Acuras have it now; my g/f's '03 Accord Coupe has it as well, but I believe it is a redish light.

If you want to see how much effect that little blue light has, get in your car when it's really dark outside, turn on your parking lights and then watch your console area as you cover and uncover the light with your finger.

Chill out man...that's what the map lights are for. The blue LED is for ambience...to create some atmosphere. You'll only see any real effect when it is really dark out, no street lights or anything.

That temp sensor is for the dual climate control, driver's side...but where's the sensor for the passenger side sensor?

Wow, you guys really did take that seriously....

Ambience huh? Maybe my dials are turned up too high, but with the 5AT, I just don't see it.
