Source for wood 6MT shift knob & real leather boot for 2007 TSX?
I've had my 2007 6MT/Nav TSX for about 4 months and love it...well, I'd really love it even more if it had a turbo, but that would be trouble. Anyway, the one are that I would like to change in my car would be to replace the stock Aluminum shift knob and fake leather shift boot with a nice wood shift knob and a leather shift boot. Does anyone know if these two items are available from any source?
Thanks
Pete

Boy you're showing your age!
Wooden gearknob?
Any of the manual Acura knobs fit each other's shifter - M10x1.25 thread.
Biased opinion here, but I'd scrub the idea of wood, and get the Maven one - use the search function for that thread.
As for leather boot - you could do your own, or use a custom interior company. I can't think of any off top of my head already produced, but while you're googling for a custom company, you could search to see if there is something I'm unaware of.
Ebay can be a good alternative too.
Contact wheelskins - http://www.wheelskins.com/shift_boots.php - and see if they have anything, or can do you one.

Heh. No, not showing my age...I don't like the stock shift knob in extreme temps...yesterday it was 93 and I had to throw a towel over the aluminum shift knob so I could shift because the knob was so hot.
Thanks!

6MT or Death
Defenitely not an indicator of age. I had thought about a wooden shift knob for the same reason. the ONLY wooden shift knobs i can find at this point can be found here: http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden...8/product.html
Of course if you're just trying to beat the heat there's always this option http://www.howardscustoms.com/products/detail.asp?id=15

Let me help you!
That's what the rubber strip around the shift knob is for...I only touch the rubber when it's hot.
The metal part of the shift knob is for the ambient lighting (blue led by the microphone) *wink*
