Soon time to do the brakes

I want to go with stainless steel brakelines and better pads. Can I just grab any SS brakelines?? Will the local honda do the lines?? Has anyone here done this yet??

Sorry if this is in the wrong section and thanks for all the suggestions

get quality lines that have some sort of protection. you don't want the line to get damaged by a rock then you step on the brake pedal to have a line bust open.

any quailified brake shop should be able to install them. they not difficult to do. just need to make sure that you bleed the brakes properly after install.

you'll have to contact local shops to you as not all shops are willing to install "performance" parts. especially parts that you bring to them.

personally I would go with russell/edelbrock lines.

You can also look here. These can be installed yourself if you are handy and trust yourself to work on your brakes. And yes if you replace your lines be sure to bleed the lines. You may want to flush out the old fluid and replace with new.

http://www.stoptech.com/

They also sell replacement rotors and pads and full up performance kits.

Thanks guys. I was wondering if brakelines were universal or specific of each car. The way stoptech has their site set-up answered my question. I have heard stoptech rotors have a warp problem. Have any of you guys heard of this?

I'm sure it's just a matter of making the lines the proper length and attaching the appropriate sized fitting for each manufacturer. Not that hard but probably not something you can make yourself. I don't have any experience with thier products.

Russell, Goodrdige are pretty much the same lines and they both make a great product. I find the Russell to be slightly cheaper though. PM me if you need a set.
