So Delsa Motorsports M3 lip spoilers are no longer too short...

...but now the quality of them suck!

I got one this past week and although the fitment is exact (just like the xenonspecialist one), it has a major problem in that the rounded curve at the two ends of the spoiler look like they've been shaved off roughly with a knife. Almost like what you would do to stems of roses before putting them into water...

I considered returning the darn thing back but I have a feeling I'd have to pay for shipping AND once it's back in Taiwan, there's no guarantee that I'll ever hear back from them. Hence, the spoiler is on my car. Looks okay from a distance but pretty bad up close.

I'm tempted to sand the obvious rough edges and then paint over it with touch-up paint. I know that the colour won't match but the current look is pretty depressing for a perfectionist like me.

My question is whether anyone has tried to sand polyurethane before and if so, what grade of sandpaper would be best? I'm just concerned that it would be like trying to sand an eraser, which would not go down well.

Thanks!

Solution: Get lip from Xenonspecialist.

I wanted to, but Xenon's ebay.CA site doesn't say that it delivers to Canada anymore...

Sent a question about this and the guy never responded. Thought that I'd take my business elsewhere...

Sorry to hear this. A past user tried to return to delsa after a bad color-match on the spoiler, and had a horror story to tell. I do not advise anyone to purchase from there.

As requested on another thread, some pics of my poorly finished spoiler from Delsa Motorsports.

Delsa didn't return my complaint emails so I don't think there was anything I could do. Looks bad up close but from afar it still makes the TSX quite a bit sportier. The length is spot on. However, if you can get your hands on Xenonspecialist (who does not respond to any damn emails I might add), get that instead.

Now if everyone can do me a favour and NOT diss my spoiler any further, that would make me feel better

I'm still good with the color match and finish on my rburns spoiler...yea, it isn't quite long enough, but it looks fine.
