Small children and TSXs

Does anyone have infants or toddlers in their TSX? I am thinking about purchasing and am concerned about the possibility of our thoughtful infant trying to fill in the little wholes with x,y,z mush.

Is the perforated leather easy to clean? If milk gets spilled will your car forever have an odd odor on hot summer days?

Thanks,

There are plenty of covers you can get if you want.

Got two cars seats in right now

A toddler seat and a booster seat.
Let's face it, the only way to keep kids from gunking up your car (eventually) is to keep them out. I've been using the "no juice box" rule since my car is only one month old, but eventually I'll cave.
As the young guys/gals on this forum don't understand (yet), people are more important than "stuff" and eventually they'll crap up your stuff, and you won't really get torqued up about it (cuz they're your peeps).
I've heard leather cleans better than cloth, so it should hold up.

Three young kids.... The thing that gets me is their shoes on the back of the seats.... Easy to clean, but, it does leave indentations on the leather... Kids love the NAVI....

Before my kid gets in the back seat, shoes come off, and no food or drinks. Granted she is 3 now, but even before w/ my IS300, she was younger, and had to always have something to drink, I suggest investing in a really good spill proof cup. They are out there, and really help out!
In regards to cleaning spills, I think with the perforated leather, it would be a pain in the ass to clean, cause it IS gonna get into the holes.

Pristine interiors and kids don't mix. Heck you might even have some adult back there do something that you might have to clean up.

When my daughter would first climb into the car seat I tried to use the no drink or food rule. But how the heck can you keep your little girl from having her milk, especially after you just picked her up from daycare and she is so happy to see you. But the one thing that is great is that the leather cleans up amazingly, I have had milk, juice, cookies, cheese, fruit etc on the seats and nothing has ever stained it. Even baked on whole milk wipes up with some lexol.

Actually, there are many of us that have kids and deal with car seat issues/clean-up issues and all of the wonders of parenting:

Even if the crowd here was may be the younger side, that doesn't mean they don't have a good understanding of similar issues or aren't able to offer helpful advice. Sorry, but given the target demographic of the TSX, and the helpfulness of people here in all respects, I would tend to disagree (but I am biased )

I wasn't saying the "younger" readers can't provide advice, I was just stating that having kids will change people's priorities, and what may seem outrageous as a non-parent (drinks in the car) may not be top priority when Junior is freaking out on a long trip. (not an profound revelation, but I thought I would throw that out there before people started suggesting strapping the kids to a Thule rack to keep the interior clean)
