Quick revival to say I saw an MSM this morning on 280 to 87 at 9:10 to 9:15. He came up behind me a couple exits on 280 before 87 and passed me as I got into another lane (both to be in an exit lane early and because I wanted to see 'em up close). I caught up on 87. He got off at Almaden, and didn't seem too interested in saying hi.
How do you know she's Chinese?

you don't know it... and I've never seen you... but you literally drive right past my house every day on the way home from work. plus there's a Chinese girl with stuffed animals all over her dash that lives on Del Mar... and the street right below the tracks... near where that Lucky Burger is. we should get a bunch of TSXs together and stalk her.

It's been a real drought me me to spot TSX's in the past 2 weeks! A real drought since I last saw that Arctic Blue at work.

Already, I have one to report that I'm hoping to get a reply to (in vain, most likely). A black TSX with Maryland plates on 287 south around 4:40-5pm with a chick driving with some dude on the passenger side. I passed them, they passed me - saw them looking at my car, I looked back, no eye contact. Anyway, the badges on the car were gold, so I thought she might be interested enough in her car to be on our site.
I also saw my first 04 TL on the road on Friday (Springdale Rd in Cherry Hill). At first I thought it was another TSX, until I saw it from the side and back. It didn't look that much bigger than a TSX to me, but I only had a quick glance as it was on the other side of the road.

Couple more sightings for me. First, someone in the office building behind mine at work just got himself a CG/Q/6MT, which freaked me out one afternoon coming home from work (it's the only car in the lot over there).
Second, a PWP pulled in behind me as I was dropping of some recycling on Saturday afternoon. It was pretty cool seeing them parked together, "in the wild."

I had other things on my mind, including my cancellation of the extended Acura Care. I had a major problem reconciling the contract details with what the contracts manager had verbally told me, so I canned Acura Care.
Acura Care isn't the problem, per se.
When I met the contracts manager, the contracts manager quoted me some astronomical figures for other things that I rejected. He then went on to describe the extended warranty. He told me a number of things that I subsequently discovered that were either not in the contract or not as he described.
Salespeople have a LOT of lee-way on what they can verbally say to hype the sale of a product or service, but if it's not in writing, their word means absolutely nothing. I determined that his word meant NOTHING based on my reading of the Acura Care extended contract. (Who reads contracts, afterall?) Furthermore, after checking with others on the pricing, I did not appreciate the milking that was about to take place. Really BAD milking! And then at the last moment, he threw in a deductable that he did not at all mention until the last moment. It's a game. It's the only sour point of my whole experience with that dealership, even considering the delays that I potentially faced.
The contract indicates that I get my full money back if I cancel the contract within 60 days of contract date. I signed the form 30 days from contract date, so I'm expecting a full refund or I will see the contracts manager in Small Claims Court.

I could have sworn I saw a light sky blue (a la Jaguar light blue) TSX driving around the northern suburbs of Michigan. I was on the other side of the median, so I didn't comfirm it, but it definitely looked like a TSX to me. I know they don't make them in the sky blue, but who knows.

I was in LA this past weekend and was searching the whole time for another TSX to show my friends what I'm driving around in these days, but......nothing! I know there are plenty of LA TSXers on this site, but I was really surprised at how scarce TSXs continue to be, especially in a place that loves cars like LA does. Oh well!
After a seemingly long drought of no TSX sightings for nearly three weeks, I saw a black TSX entering the same car park I use at work. It was lunch time, and I was out for walkies crossing the Belmont Slough on the foot bridge.
Argh......
Why is every TSX in Wisconsin Carbon Grey??!?!! I saw another one today (bringing my total to 11!). It must be because people have seen me having fun driving around for the past two months... Zimbrick Acura owes me a commission or three....

Three months and 7 days with my TSX and I've still only seen three other TSXs: one in San Francisco (on vacation -- me, not the car), one on 128 in Woburn, and one at a stoplight at the corner of Comm. Ave. and Washington in Newton.

I saw a CG yesterday close to where I live (Katy, west Houston suburbs). The guy put nickel or chrome door guards on all 4 doors.. It looked FUGLY.. I can't believe how some people don't have the minimum common sense when it comes to car mods.

Shouldn't there be a law against FUGLY? Overstated, overbearing, tasteless attachments or adornments on cars. I hesitate to call it styling.
Every now and then I see motor vehicles with any of the following fuglinesses:
- On the back of pickup tailgates or car trunks, the brand or model name spelled out with electrician's tape. I saw an early '70's vintage Mustang with "MACH 1" spelled out with electricians tape. Very crude.
- Reflectors everywhere, especially when used like pinstriping or applied in crude way like the above electrician's tape. (I saw that more often 10-20 years ago in certain parts of the SF Bay Area.)
- Overdone pinstriping. Besides being overdone, it's all crooked and wavy as if the applier was doing it under the influence of something or another. Just as bad is curly-cue pinstriping, even when professionally done.
- Gold leaf and trim pieces. very ~stereotypically~ ghetto.
- Splash guards that are crookedly applied, such as very cheap ones that do not fit correctly anyway. Insult to injury are splash guards with chromey icons or emblems, like the playboy bunny, or some...fugly...trash...posing in a slutty manner.
- Do-it-yourself tinting with that roll-it-on plastic wrap, complete with bubbles and creases.
- Tyres, where the left and right sides are clearly different sizes, (and I'm not referring to temporary spare tyres).

Well, that and the Aztek.Another pseudo-sighting - there is a billboard for the new TL on the Ben Franklin Bridge eastbound. I've never seen one for the TSX, has anyone else?

There are laws like these regarding homes in many towns. A town by me (Haddonfield) closely regulates what decorations people can have in/on their homes during the holidays, and my friend who lives in a golf community in NC can't put up a permanent basketball net in his driveway.

"house #12470 is in violation of the grass height rule" "they also have a pickup truck parked in the driveway -ahhh!"

Actually, in some countries, they have laws about maintaining a car to get it registered. You cannot drive it around with big dents, missing fenders, or rust, but I'm not sure about mix-matched tire sizes or body panels that are totally different colors.
Technically, those some window tinting jobs are illegal in some states.

It did get a mention in Artificial Intelligence, and in When Harry Met Sally (Billy Crystal says he's from there).
I just had to look up the name of Artificial Intelligence because I'm a senile 26 yr old and forgot it.. and can you believe that there's a Jurassic Park 4 coming out in 2005??? Can't we just let it die?
Two in one drive-- maybe three!
1. CG westbound on Junipero Serra just west of Page Mill in Palo Alto. I was eastbound (headed to 280).
2. NHB westbound on Fremont near Wolfe in Sunnyvale. I was eastbound (coming from 280/Wolfe exit).
3. Blue either RSX or TSX (couldn't count doors-- only saw the front, and didn't pay attention to the headlights) stopped on El Camino Real westbound at Poplar in Sunnyvale (about 1 minute after the NHB), where I make a U-turn to get to my apartment building (it's on the northern/westbound side). It had a pretty big "Acura grin" (the grill), so I think it might've been an Arctic Blue TSX.
That constitutes half of my TSX sightings since I got mine in August! I do live just a mile from an Acura dealership on the same road, though, so that could account for 2 and 3.
I was coming back from taking a couple lady friends for brunch. Without solicitation, they mentioned that they liked the interior styling, but what really blew them away was the navigation system. I didn't have a good opportunity to show off the voice control (I didn't want to tell them to be quiet just so I could show off my car :p ), which normally earns the most wows (at least, in conjunction with navigation, i.e. "find nearest X").

Spotted a Milano Red TSX (just like mine) N/B I-5 around Southcenter Mall (Tukwila) today. We passed each other a couple of times before he finally exited around I-405.
This one had tinted windows and was lowered about 1.5"...NICE!

I'll be damned. Next door to my apartment (I can see out my window), at the condo behind the Rainbow Wash or whatever, I saw a parked CG. I haven't seen it before. Wonder if the owner lives there or is just visiting.
Edit: Between Poplar and Wolfe on El Camino Real in Sunnyvale, CA.

This evening (Sun.) at the Indian restaurant in Hartsdale (near White Plains), on Tarrytown Rd.....
I think it was a Carbon Gray, like mine. Just as we were getting out of the car, we saw this other car come in the parking lot, and we waited a while to say hi to the owners of our "twin." But there was a little bit of a jam, and the car went straight through and out, then looked like it was thinking of coming back in. We only saw one party come into the restaurant in the next few minutes, and they weren't with the TSX. We figured the TSX people just left. But after dinner, we did see our "twin" parked just a couple of spots down from us.
BTW, still see hardly any TSX's around here.

I haven't seen many TSX's since I bought mine, but roughly 2 1/2 months after I got mine, someone in my apartment complex bought the same car. Several times now we've parked next to each other. We both have CGP/Ebony TSX's.
The only difference is, mine being 6MT/navi and her's is auto/non-navi.
Oddly enough, the same thing happened to my girlfriend. (who lives with me) She bought a '03 CRV and a month later someone else bought an '03 CRV in the same color, same model...
There have been a few times while walking out to the parking lot that I get this quick scare because my car is parked in a different location...turns out it's the other TSX...

Here in the LA area I have a 56 mile RT commute every day which takes me on the 405, and 110 between Long Beach and downtown LA. I have yet to see one TSX on the road. I saw a silver one in Boarders parking lot on Bellflower in Long Beach (a young asian couple got out) about three weeks ago. Also, just today, saw a black one making a turn into the parking lot of the Pizza Hut/Arby's at the southeast corner of Palo Verde and Spring. They were turning from westbound Spring St. at around 2:00pm. Got fooled when I saw a white one approach only to determine it was a TL (only the second TL I've seen). Where are all the TSXs?
In the mid-Peninsula (between San Francisco and San Josey) I still seldom see other TSX's on the highways and streets. I have seen more of the new TL's (two) in the past month than TSX.
HOWEVER, I do see a few in the car park at work. I think there are 2 blues, 2 silvers (includiing mine), and a black or two. This is in one garage that accomodates a few hundred vehicles.

I saw 2 TSX on back to back days, the 1st one I spotted was a carbon grey going down on cottle (San Jose, Santa Teresa area) and a parked black TSX at costco near Almanden Plaza (next to hwy 85, 12/28) Does any of these cars belong to any members of this board? The more I see these TSXs on the road, the more I want to trade my c320. Those TSXs looks ALOT better in person.
I had a black one pull next to mine at the 9/11 memorial in Morris County, NJ 12/26. That was interesting - the driver and I just exchanged awkward, knowing glares.
On the way to work today I saw one that was just in an accident with a banged up front end (Rt 70 by 295) :'(
