I really dont recommend seat covers. Just get TSX all weather mats and be happy with the stuff you got on right now. With a new car, comes more responsibilty.

I think I spent like 8 hour cleaning my car, but it ended up getting dirty again anyway.. -___-;; Oh well, time to clean again =D

just get some leather cleaner and leather conditioner and clean and condition them like every other week or once a month and you will be fine.

As for the floor mats... If snow and slush is not a big concern, just get yourself a set of Black OEM mats and save your tan ones for future use. Do a search and you will find some pictures. I myself like the look of the black mats with tan interior.

You need to get some of those seat covers that are made of the big wooden beads. It's like a massage for your butt everytime you drive!

I have the tan leather interior with black rubber mats. The tan interior is easy to take care of as long as you have people who will respect your car. Lucky for me I am the only driver with no kids, pets.

Looks nicer than black, its too dark in there.

Yea,. the tan leather is hard to keep clean. My previous BMW had the tan leather and it was almost always dirty. Just get a good leather cleaner like lexol to try and keep it clean. There's not much else you can do. All season floor mats are a good idea though.

How do the leather seats do when it's hot? I've had cloth seats on my last 2 cards, so I haven't had many problems with hot seats, but now that I've got the royal blue with the ebony interior and live in Florida.

I've been wondering if I need to get some sort of seat cover because I can get a heat rash. I had one of the beads ones once, but I didn't care for it. Anyone got any suggestions?

Nah... dont deal with the seat covers. What you need is a good old window tint.

Hey Johnny, great to see another J-ville TSX'er on AZ I have the grey interior and have no problem with seats being too hot. I have 35% window tint, I'm sure that helps. I guess seat covers would work or perhaps a good sun shade

HEY, you have another one right here!

Worst-case, you could toss a towel down on your seat and/or steering wheel, and when you get into your hot car, at least those things won't be steaming hot. That's only if you don't use a sun shade in your window. I forget to use mine, but I find that that takes care of most of the heat problems.

(Note that in FL you cannot have tint in the windshield. OTOH, when you use a sunshade, you'd be surprised at how much heat you cut down!)

If you do seat covers, you have to get some that are designed to work with the tsx airbags specifically. I would only bother if I went to the beach all the time or something. For occasional dirty work, I'd toss a towel down...

The A/C works really well, so I don't worry about the heat.

Thanks for the replies! I've noticed a number of TSX's around town. I have the maximum legal window tint (from Rollin' Sound) and a custom window shade from Autoanything.com. How well does cracking the "moon"roof open a little help? The only concern with that, of course, is if it rains.

PS: I'm not sure if you go that way very often, but always be careful around the I-95/295 interchange south of town. The FHP is active there at least a couple days a week. The other day I saw 6 FHP vehicles with 5 people pulled over. I figure the 6th had probably already left...

Yikes........I travel through there daily for work! If you guys would like to meet sometime, perhaps we can set something up. I'm on the West side of town near Orange Park. Yes, cracking the moon roof helps vent the heat, but like you said, those afternoon thunderstorms can come up quick!

I'm over in Baymeadows, but I get across the bridge from time to time. I think there's a group of sorts in the area.

As far as the heat goes around I295 & 95, I see them an average of 2-3 days/week. They have the regular yellow-jackets, plus a Camaro or two and an SUV K-9 unit. They're usually quite busy. I have a pretty good radar detector, but it doesn't seem to pick them up, so be careful!

I used to work off Baymeadows and Freedom Commerce, but now work off Gate Parkway, so still go through the interchange. I noticed a brown Impala (unmarked) lurking around there also.
