Well i tried everything to get my clutch repaired i went to 3 different dealerships none agreed to fix it for me so then i called acura and they said they would send a rep to check the car they said it was driver abuse so i then i got my lawyer and took them to court and lost......that was justa big waste of time.. so now i am stuck here trying to find a replacement clutch or any clutch that will go out on me with only 14500 miles on it and and someone to do the labor i would hope that someone can help me out ive been without my car for a good while now :'(

So the clutch was worn out and the tire wear was significant after 14.5Kmiles? Just between you and us, how DID you drive your tsx?

Wahh!

If you want sympathy, you came to the wrong place. Try websters.com.

Burnt out your clutch after 14k? Learn to drive, I can almost guarantee the clutch was not defective.

If the tires were worn at 14K miles, it was not driven "regularly".

You wanna drive like, that you gotta pay for it.

tread wear isn't a perfect way of comparing driving habits. My stock set on my Integra had a pair of tires that were pretty much dead at 18K with regular tire rotations.

And it's an auto

Maybe that's the problem - you're used to a German clutch - the Honda one is different in the way it should be used.

AZTSX, the wear on the clutch is caused mostly at launch in first gear/reverse and to a much lesser extent in between gears.

A lot of it depends on how much time the clutch spends in between full engagement (foot totally off the clutch) and total dis-engagement (clutch all the way to the floor).

You have to un-learn the clutch engagement characteristics of your other MT cars (German clutches are different than Honda clutches - usually heavier springs and different engagement point) and pay attention to the engagement point of the TSX. Make sure that unless you're shifting that your foot is not on the clutch at all. Don't use the engine/clutch as brakes, that's what the real brakes are for.
