Rip on tinting

Hey,
Man I just got super ripped on a tint job. The dealership (Sterling McCall Acura, Houston) charged me $290 for the poccess. It wasn't even Acura who put the tint on either. They took the car across the Highway to the Lexus dealership for their people to do it. I realized I could have taken my car to any garage for a $99 - $150 price range, but I wanted the security in a good job. Anywho, the car looks great, but I just wanted to complain

thats why you need to do research before you do thinkgs....dealers outsource a lot of their services.

Consider it a "transport fee" for that long drive across the highway.

J/k Congrats on the tint, just had mine done a couple of weeks ago love it.

$99-150 is what they charged Lexus to do it for you. They still would have made you pay around $220+ since dealerships get different prices than everyone else. Keep your receipt for that warranty.

I don't know if it's a super bad rip off. If the tint is the fully metallic tint (with no die so if won't ever fade), it may not be bad. If it's the cheaper non-metallic tint, then it's probably not good.
