Ride Quality ; RSX-S vs TSX
#3
I have an 02 RSX-S and I have to admit the ride is a bit choppy and the noise level is a bit high also, tire noise especially. But it is a fun little car to drive......zooom zooom.
I recently test drove an 04 TSX because frankly I'm getting tired of the ride and the noise.....I'm not a young dude anymore...:-). Hopefully by March I'll be ready to make the move to comfy and quiet.MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

I drove both back to back and the RSX-S is much noiser inside, and its not all exhaust sound. Its more like engine and transmission noise. However, the RSX-S does corner well, and its quicker than the TSX. Two completely different cars, in my mind much more so than the difference between a TSX and a TL.

Yeah, no doubt the RSX doesn't ride as well as the TSX, and it's much noisier. Obviously we've got more weight, more sound deadening, and the double wishbone suspension to keep things smooth.
All in all, the handling of the RSX-S is tighter, but not overall that much better than the TSX. The RSX shines in the steering department though.......
A co-worker has his RSX dropped on H&R Race springs/stock blown struts. Gives a new meaning to NHV ..........

I traded my RSX Type S for the TSX in April. The suspension on "Serinity" is much more planted with less body roll. It seems that the rsx leaned a little more & corners It was a little easer to toss around im afraid to throw Serenity around probably because this is my first 4 door car & its so big. But hands down the what sold me on the TSX was the overall driving experience i.e. the transmission no more second gear grind & the suspension it never disappoints. (& the nav)

Has anyone ever compared the ride and noise levels of an RSX-S and an S2000. For some reason I think the S2000 might even be quieter than the RSX. When I test drove my RSX I thought I could live with the ride and the interior noise but it has gotten old fast.......but I still like the getup and go!I think Acura would be well served by putting a little more sound deadening in the car although it might sacrifce some 0-60 times.
