Replace a 3.2 CL with a TSX??

Has anyone done the above? If so, what are your experiences, both positive and negative?

My main beefs with the CL are that it is too big, too soft, and the transmission isn't sporty enough. On paper, at least, the TSX seems to fix all of that, but any downside?

Thanks,

Steve

I told you Mega-Jase was your man!

As you know, I felt exactly the same things about the TL that you say about CL.

Yes EB -- and, while we're at it -- ride harsher, on certain road conditions.
But the TL/TL-S ride isn't as comfy as a lot of people think either (don't remember exactly if CL is same but I believe it's very similar).

Thanks all. Jason's PM was great; complete and helpful.

ebcheon - less hp./torque, but also less weight = similar performance??

Any feelings on transmission choice?

Yes. Can't speak for the CL but the sports suspension on the CL-S can be "unsettling" going over those rough roads of NYC! But then again, any car would be.

I traded my '01 CLS 6 weeks ago and haven't regretted it since.
Here's my rundown of the differences

Ride: even
Handling: TSX
Engine: CLS
Transmission: TSX (TSX 6sp vs CLS auto)
Luxury: TSX (although I do miss the CLS passenger mirror tilt down in reverse feature and memory seats)
Looks: TSX
Utility: TSX
Materials: TSX
Fit and Finish: TSX
Fun to drive: TSX
