spoiler or not?

spoiler or not?
Hi I just traded in my 02 RSx for a 04 silver TSX 6MT and the car should be redy by Friday. Is the spoiler worth putting it on? The TSX does look pretty good without it. What do you think?

I say go for it! To me, the spoiler turns the 4-door sedan into a 4-door sports sedan. And, as finalheaven pointed out, it will set you apart (not so much now that there are few other TSXes around but that won't be the case for long!)
Best of luck with your decision!

I would agree that most on this site do not like the spoiler. I got it and love it. Here is mine from different views that I posted in a a big thread that used to be around here somewhere. Search for the thread.

I personally think the spoiler is a bit too high and gaudy for the TSX. If it was a little lower to the car and didn't stick up as much, I would like it a bit more I believe. However, you need to see pics of it in person to see if you like it or not...that's my opinion.

don't get me wrong... it LOOKS cool... but it's not a smart allocation of money.
[just like the Navi is not a good allocation of $2,000]
*edit*
just the spoiler and the Navi... and you're out around $2,500... which could amount to:
1. a month's pay
2. a year's Fed taxes?
3. a downpayment for your next car
4. a year's tuition at a decent State U.
5. seed money for an investment portfolio
6. part of a downpayment for a house
these little add-ons are sold for 5-10x their actual value and the dealerships and manufacturers make a killing on them.

Don't approach this from a is-it-worth-the-money point of view. If you like the way it looks, get it. If not, then don't. The $500 it adds to the cost of the car is a relatively small amount in the grand scheme of things.
Personally, I think the TSX looks fairly nice without a spoiler since the upper trunk lip has sort of a spoiler look to it already. Usually, adding a spoiler to a trunk with such a design makes it seem extraneous. However, having seen TSXs with spoilers, it actually looks quite good. So for me, with or without the spoiler both look about the same. So I would just elect to save the $500 and not get the spoiler. One man's opinion.

I like it better w/o the spoiler but like many have said before me it's what makes you happy that's important. Personally I would prefer to spend my money on a CAI and have a mod that is more functional and less form.
just my $0.02
just my $0.02

Spoiler: Just Say No! Be careful FH.
The nav is much much better than a spoiler. The spoiler is there for looks and the nav changes the entire interior and adds unmatched functionality. Try being stuck in traffic and realizing you have an "eye in the sky" ability to circumnavigate it.
Lost time in traffic: 2 hours/day
Effect on US productivity: In the billions...
Being able to circumnavigate traffic after a long shitty day at work: You get it....

FYI, Nav is a waste. God gave me both the ability to circumnavigate the globe and destroy those who create traffic in front of me... that's at least what the little voices tell me why I sit in traffic on I-80/I-94

If you like the looks of the spoiler, it's only worth adding if you don't pay $599 or more for the part by itself.
I plan to buy the spoiler from hondacuraworld.com for $466 then have my dealer install it (their labor charge is $115). If I had bought it from my dealer, it would have cost an extra $200 because of the markup their parts department added to the part!

Personally, I don't care for the OEM spoiler. I am waiting for someone to offer the Mugen spoiler or a copy similar to it.
