Repair Costs

If there will only be 15,000 TSXs sold every year, I wonder if that means repairs costs will be higher after the warranty expires? Or does the TSX use generic Civic or American Accord parts like the EL or TL?

I don't think that's all their selling, I think that was their target number to determine if the TSX is a marketable car in the north america.

And all I can say is INDEED IT IS!!!!

sometimes i wish they sell less TSX so we are special, but then i hope they sell more TSX so repair cost would be less, and they will continue TSX for another few generation..... not like CL now...

I can't say for sure what the repair cost will be but since the TSX is really just a european honda accord and it's K series engine, I wouldn't think the lack of available parts should be a concern.

Does this mean that the European Accord (TSX) and the North American Accord share the same parts?

I am not aware that any Honda or Acura official said that every year TSX production will be limited to 15,000. I've read or heard that only the current production year has that limit.

Does anyone care to elaborate? Is it a goal or a real limitation? It would behoove Honda to restrict production if the demand is higher than 15,000.

If production remains limited or restricted, it would be reasonable for repair costs to remain high. If there's a shortage of parts years down the road, then it's more likely your car would be totalled rather than fixed if if you were in an accident.

Don't confuse the Acura sales goal with a production limit. I think the current estimate is that Acura will actually sell 20,000+ and they have NO plans to limit production.
