Removal of Visor Warning Sticker

If you want the full details of the process, go to my CarDomain site.

Here are the pics. Overall, fairly happy, but would've left it alone if I knew ahead of time. Guess someone had to be the test dummy.

From the beginning I found it not only unsightly, but distracting.

Right away, I began trying to remove it "the regular way," just by peeling it. Carefully. Very, very carefully. And slowly. After about only 10 seconds (and only the tiniest fraction of a millimeter), I saw the deal, and stopped. Wondered if anyone else would try anything.

Did you have to take the visor out of the car to do that?

Removal of the visor is mandatory! Trust me, this is no walk-in-the-park mod. I still struggle with even doing it at this point. I haven't had any daylight to really see the affect. Also, this is only the side you see with the visor up and I have not idea how I'm going to do the mirror. If everything goes well, I'm going to attempt this on the mirror side of the visor later this month. I just need some time to recover from this mod.

Seriously, if you don't have the SEVERE desire to have those stickers off, don't do it.

A great analogy for doing this mod is: Imagine trying to peel off the old style T-Shirt graphics from a T-Shirt.

Agreed. Plus I'm not sure if you can "legally" remove those because they are warning labels. And yes, I know it's your car so you can do anything you wish.

In my S2000 I just covered them up with a custom made sticker that simply says "S2000". Seems like a similar approach would work here too -- and be much easier than removing them!
