Radar Detector Placement

I want to mount it on my windshield....but i'm not sure if lower (towards the dash, but up alittle because of the wipers) or HIGHER (up near the rearview mirror) Is better???

let me know what people are doing, and what works better....

I don't know if you have one that "looks" both ahead of you and behind you, but if you do, i suggest you put it up by your rearview mirror. as long as it has a clear line of sight and you can see it well, it should be ok.

Sry if this post comes out a lil sured, a lil drunk right now, personally i have my valintine one above the gauges and to the right kinda where a tach would be, a lil up above the windsheild and its working perfect, allready saved my ass a bunch of times, most people just put it right in the middle of the windsheild about 4 inches up, theres another thread where someone used the hidden display and put it up top off of the passenger sunshade, its really up to u as long as it has a clear view up infront and depending on the model behind

Radar Roy says to mount it low on the windshield. There are multiple reasons for this. Mount detector properly This is the best site I've found for getting info about radar detectors, which are the best units and how to get the most from them. Check it out
