Questions about TSX

I'm in the market for a mid to high 20,000 car. I'm trading in my 02 rsx type s for it.

I looked around the cars in my price range, and as usual I can't find any other cars that has all the options I want (sunroof, leather, etc.) for cheap price. I think TSX is great for this reason.

After acura.com changing to a flash website, it's been hard to navigate on my crappy computer and internet connection. So I was wondering if I can ask you guys some questions.

1) I noticed the front seats are "sport" seats with leather. Is this anything like the RSX seats? I'm a pretty big guy so the way how RSX's seats were scooped in and how the wing parts come out was a bit annoying for me an bothered me in long drives. From the picture, I can tell the dip is not as deep as the RSX seats but I'm still concerned.

2) Do I have a choice of choosing HID. vs Projector lights? Are they the same thing?

3) How is the speed/handling of this car? I loved my rsx for its handling and speed. Yea, it wasn't THAT fast but it got me to places quickly. Even though it was FWD, it gave me good handling for sudden movements of the car and the fact that I don't have to turn my wheel left and right 5 times to bust a U-turn like you would in Lexus.

4) I'm planning on getting the Injen CAI so I can change it to SRI format when it rains. But how is the installation? For AEM CAI on my rsx, there was no way I could do all the re-wiring of windshield wiper and replacement of various objects, a friend helped me do it (basically did it FOR me).

5) What color should I get? I've seen some clean gray/black ones on the diff forums member gallery..I still can't decide. I had a white rsx before so I'll either get the nighthawk black or carbon gray.

1. definitely not as sporty as the RSX, but more so than the TL. Some people have had trouble getting comfortable in them, but once you find your adjustment it will "memorize" your position to your fob.
2. All tsx's are HID projector on low beam. no options
3. you have to test drive it for yourself. some people dont like the lack of speed and torque, but i think it's just fine for me.
4. Injen CAI can change easily to SRI. I do it all the time. The initial installation is kinda hard as there are a few hard to reach bolts, but once it is done, switching out from CAI to SRI is a piece of cake.
5. I agree with the color choices. Mine is Nighthawk Black and my brother's is Carbon Grey. Good luck finding either color on short notice, as they are both in high demand. especially if you want the (only) option of navigation.

Thanks for the response. I have all the wrenches / pilers/ bolts / screwdrivers ready for the installation. I'm not a auto part guru at all so I have no idea how each hose work or whatever. I'm just thinking I can do it myself with the DIY instructions + injen instruction. Is it something with a guy with common sense can't do in a couple of hours (maybe even 3-4 hours)?

As for the color, do you regret getting nighthawk? Do you ever look at your bro's car and say "damn I should've gotten CG"? My friend has a black TL and he tells me all the time that he should've gotten the gray color or white and I should too. I really need some professional help on this haha

my Injen was my very first install on a car ever. frustrated me at first, but one i had it done i was very proud of myself. so much so that i did my brothers in about 1 1/2 hours total. All i can say is be careful with the plastic screws/plugs/whatevertheyarecalled and just give in to taking off the front bumber. I only took off half and that was ok, but my brother freaked out when i pulled his halfway off and was scared i was going to crack his new car. but i didn't. I love my black, but it does get dirty very easily and shows up little scratches easily as well. personally, i like it better than the grey because the grey doesn't come in parchement and i really like the parchemnt/wood interior, so that's what i got

i have pics of my car everywhere. just look at some of my threads (even though it is an 04)
