Congrat. Don't forget that the first 600 miles is the break-in period. And Let's see some pictures.

Don't wait too long to get the OEM kit (or any kit) on, as the new kit won't match the existing paint, ESPECIALLY with PWP, unless they are exposed to the sun at near-equal amounts.

Trust me, I know.

haha, if u got it w/ the car u probably could've gotten them to either discount it or throw ity in. now you've got to pay close to retail. Plus you've got to come up wiht the whole chunk of $ at one time instead of financing and paying a few bucks more a month. It was tough for me because i had to wait and come up with money. After putting on the kit i realized i shoudl've gotten it with the car and had it look 100x better from the start.

LOL! Your excitement is contagious. Don't sweat the nav, the TSX is great with or without. The biggest thing was getting the MT, and you did that.

Yeah, dealers love to give out free body kits. There's usually a bin on the way out with all the parts in it, you just take what you need.

Helo everyone -

I just wanted to interject my thought here...congrats on your new TSX. It's a great car.

I actually just got rid of my 2004 auto w/ navi model last Thursday. My lease was going to be up in a 5 months and I was actually able to get $2200 more than what I owed on it--but it was a lease, which was even better. My TSX was a beautiful car, and I never had any major issues, other than squeaks and rattles. I considered trading it in for the newer model, but have a thing about getting the exact same car again.

So, I traded for a Lexus IS250. Great car as well, but I'll always remember the TSX!

Would like to hear your impressions of how the two compare. We've seen test drive impressions but not so much from longer term drivers.

It depends on who you ask. For n miles, where 500 < n < 2000, you are supposed to limit your driving to x.

Nobody knows what x is.

Congrats! Nice color choice - PWP is one of three I "think" I've got it narrowed down to. ASM & GBM are the other two choices. Ebony interior for sure.

I would like to know the comparison between the IS250 and TSX also!

I want a IS250 but I rather get the TSX because of the lower $$$$.

"Break in period" means you take it easy on the engine for a predetermined amount of miles to allow the engine to settle in, let the piston rings seat properly, etc. The idea is to let everything get seated before you really start taxing the motor.

Acura recommends no hard starts or high revving for the first 600 miles in the TSX. Different manufacturers have different recommendations for their cars.

Well, I've had the IS250 now for a 2 weeks and I'm loving it!

Here are my comparisons so far between the IS and the TSX (which I also loved!)

- TXS has a bigger back seat than the IS
- I think the inside feels smaller too--maybe just tighter an in the TSX
- I like the voice commands better in the TSX (on the Lexus, there's always a female voice that asks you to enter a command--where as on the TSX, it was just a beep
- TSX has a slightly larger trunk than the IS
- TSX had xenon lights, I don't have those on the Lexus (can get them, but extra option)

Now, the IS I think looks sportier (more futuristic) than the TSX
- The navigation system has a back-up camera, which is really cool!
- The stereo rocks! I think it has a couple more speakers and a subwoofer
- Sunroof on the Lexus is one touch and has multiple automatic selects
- 18" wheels on the IS are nice!
- Push buttom start is awesome...never had to insert a key, or even use the remote when locking/unlocking the car
- Overall IS feels a little tighter than TSX, this could be because it's still new too though

So, there's my observation so far. I really the the IS is awesome, but the TSX was a great car too. I would have bought one, except I didn't want the same car again. I'm curious too to see the new body style.

Videoman........I couldn't agree more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I picked up my Glacier Blue 6 speed non navi last saturday and I'm still amazed at how good this car is. The 6 speed is the best in the business.......bar none. And the car itself is fun......quick enough for me....and just great looking. I thought of PWP also but ordered the GBM with Quartz instead. Dude...try not to smile so much when driving your new ride.....:-). Good luck and nice pic's.
