Question which car?

Question which car?
ok i have two tsx's in mind. One is pearl white 05 with parchment leather and 64 miles, The other is the color and interier I want, Black w/ parchment leather, and a bonus of Nav system. The black one has 30k miles though. Which should I get?

It's just that asking the kind of question you've posted here is impossible to answer. I might as well start a thread asking what number is better, 3 or 7.
Do you mind driving a used car?
Do you want navi?
Do you like black?
Are they the same price?
Are there any other options?

Get the '05. It's yours and you'll know everything that has been done to it. You never know if the '04 was beat on or if it has mechanical problems. To trade in a car that only has 30K miles on it and is only a year old seems fishy to me.

So I would assume that one TSX is more expensive then the other. If you..er, your parents can afford the new car, tell em thats what you want. Why buy a car with 30K when you can get a brand new one?

I'd say wait until the dealer has the ext/int that you want with the options you want. A new car is an important decision and you really shouldn't settle for what's available at the time unless you have extremely sensitive budget and time constraints.
That being said, a 1 year old car with 30k miles on it isn't worth the trouble. That's way too many miles in too little of a time span for me.

you are not even asking performance...color is just personal opinion

wclark,
Since the price of a new TSX is within your budget, why not just get a new NBP TSX from a dealer. That is what you should do. Don't buy the used one and don't settle on a color combo that you might not want.
Good Luck!!!

I would never buy a salvaged car. Selling it will be a bitch and I dont know if dealers will take it on a trade in...

For instance, my friend flipped a TSX service loaner from Acura of Columbus while his Legend was in the shop. Bent the rear suspension and mangled the roof and rear pillar. But the car is otherwise mechanically sound. Due to the exorbitant cost to replace the sheet metal, glass, and suspension components, the car was labelled a loss and rebuilt with a salvage title.
If you do decide to get one of these two...black, as you know, is harder to take care of and requires more care and meticulous detail to keep it looking good, but when it is clean, there's nothing like it. Even the 7G Accord looks good in black when clean.
With the 05 you get some added features that some of us would love to have, such as heated mirrors and XM standard. PWP isn't a bad color at all, esp since it has that pearl effect going.
If it were me? I wouldn't buy anything with a salvage title, unless i were planning to use it as a beater car and my requirements were cheapness over function.

But since in this case, both cars have the salvage titles, I personally wouldn't even consider them.

What's the price difference between the two (include the cost of fixing them to where you want them)? The subjective stuff is up to you -- what's the money say? For $100, I'd take either one. For $25,000, I wouldn't. Somewhere in between is the value of each.

I know how you must feel right now man, but that's what I think is guiding your decision here...feelings. If you really sit down and think about it, it's not the smartest decision in the world to get a car with a salvage title. You're reationalizing that it is because you want one so bad, but it probably won't be worth it over the long run.

Dude, 3 is waaay better than 7. Hell, you can get two 3's and a 1 for the same price as a 7. Besides, I hate what they've done to the new 7s. They have this European/Asian slash through the middle and it totally wrecks the aerodynamics. The 3 is way more moddable.

That hit was so close to the engine compartment that you can't be sure there is no mechanical damage.
Take my word for it - I had a new car for ONE MONTH before some guy pulled out it front of me and I hit him square in the side at ~30mph. Tore up the front of my car bad - deployed both airbags and blew out the windshield. The insurance company DIDN'T total the car - they paid to fix it (over $12,000). I wish they had totaled it. It had problems from then on. Little phantoms that popped up. Noises, creaks, components failing. And my frame wasn't even bent.
Make sure 100% that the frame is not bent before you consider it. Even then, I'd be awfully careful. That car took a jarring shock, and many things may be "invisibly damaged." If you can get it for less, you'll be much better off. $10K tops. Even then, be prepared for problems to haunt you until you get rid of it - and selling it with a salvage title will be difficult.
Just want you to be aware of what you are dealing with. Let us know what you decide to do.
