On my old TL it was (probably the same for a TSX) but I have this list still for some reason. I think it is from a thread here. You should search

Oil change
Check fluids
Adjust tire pressure, rotate, and balance
Front and rear brake caliper service
Air Filter
Replace coolant
Transmission service, change fluid
Change brake fluid
Replace A/C Filters
Check parking brake adjustment
Full underbody inspection

I think the cost is under 400 bucks.

Good practice, but we don't know what year his car is (no maintenance nanny on the 04's and 05's). But..... all the required maintenance items at the various mileage intervals (which are every 10K miles for the 04 and 05) are listed in the owner's manual. I could go look (at the manual for my 05), but..... either he's too lazy, doesn't know enough to RTFM, or he doesn't have one (which wasn't stated).

Wow, that's cheap. Did they do all the items in Jimmy's list? Just the parts would be more than what you paid.

OK, I feel generous. The 60K service (for an 04 or 05) is actually pretty minor if you follow the normal maintenance schedule. It includes the following (this is from the owner's manual):

Change oil and filter (the manual actually calls for oil filter replacement a 20K mile intervals, but the dealer will replace it every 10K).
Rotate the tires
Inspect and/or lube basically everything (the list is too long to include here)
Replace engine air and cabin air filter

Brake fluid change is every three years independent of mileage.

My dealer did it on my 05 almost 3 years ago now and did a bunch of stuff that wasn't on the above list. It included Mobil 1 (synthetic), AT fluid change (one time), brake fluid change (at 2 1/2 years), and an alignment. The total then was $445.

Ya, I'd be curious to hear what they actually did too. The price alone for the two filters would be more than that (from an Acura dealer).

$86?... "pics or it didn't happen"

I have the First Edition Honda Motor Co. service manual for '04-'05 TSX's and it says:

-Replace brake fluid
-Perform A, B, C service items
A. Replace engine oil & Rotate tires
B. Replace engine oil filter, check front/rear brakes, check parking brake, inspect (tie-rods, steering gearbox, and gearbox boots), inspect suspension components, inspect driveshaft boots, inspect brake hoses and lines, inspect all fluid levels and condition of fluids, inspect exhaust system, and inspect fuel lines and connections.
C. Inspect drive belts, replace dust and pollen filter, and replace air cleaner element

As Simba said, the engine/hvac filters cost more than $86 together.

It's not so much that we don't trust what you said... it's more that we want a copy of that coupon

was that just the tip? not a chance you paid 86 dollars to an Acura dealer for a "60K mile service" that included even half of the items I listed. Service A with conventional oil at an Acura dealer is $54.62 (in Wash DC area)..... Either post a picture of the receipt or I must, my friend, call bull kaka.

well, first of all, I knew the service guy pretty well. He's the one that I've been working with for the past couple yrs. Last time he hooked me up on my 01 tl's 105K service too, so with the discount coupon and others stuff that he didn't charged; the bill came out about $86. Mainly, he just charged me for the transmission service. This is what they did to my car:
. Oil & filter change
. rotate/ brake inspection
. multi point inspection
. lubricated all locks, latches, and hinges
. air filter
. A/c filter
> and transmission service.
Just bs with 'em service guys every time you stop by the dealer they'll hook you up. plus they want you business anyway.
