Problem with interior LED

I got one of the 3022-B9 LEDs and it seems to only work once in a while. The day I installed it and the day after it worked fine, then yesterday I go out to my car in the morning to go to school and the light doesn't work. When I get to school, I open my door and the light turns on again. I left school, and it was still working. Then I get home, open my door, and the light doesn't turn on again. So I take off the cover and took out and then put back the LED and it worked again. I go out this morning (I hadn't gone anywhere since I took the LED out and put it back) and it wasn't working again This time when I get to school it still wasn't working. Did I get a bad LED or is there maybe something wrong with the connection that I can fix?

Also, how do you get the cover off the map lights easily? I have taken it off 3 times now, and each time I have almost broken them Is there a certain method to getting them off?

I had a similar problem with my LEDs when I first put them in. They eventually ended up going out for good on the driver side map light. I took the car to the dealership and they ended up having to replace the entire map light fixture. I had swapped my lights back to the original bulbs before taking it in and the repair was covered under warranty. This was with an '06.

Alright, it is the LED. When I got home I switched around the lights and it is just that LED that doesn't work. I just put it in the rear dome light for now since I don't really care if that lights up or not. I will just have to order another LED when I decide which are the best LEDs for my license plate lights

Well I want to get my license plate LEDs from superbrightleds cause that is there I got the ones for the interior. I need the one for the dome to match the ones up front because it will drive me crazy if they are different in any way :p

Anybody have a way to take the cover plate off, to access the "map" lights?

I figured out how to do it safely now. I got both of them off without nearly breaking them
