Predicted Problems?
Hello:
My car is about to turn 80k miles. My warranty ends @ 100k. What kinds of problems/maintenance should I expect after the warranty ends? I'm trying to weight the pros and cons of ditching the car or hanging on to it? My worst case scenario would be A/C, tranny, and Nav all going out at the same time. I'm sure that would be a big bill, without a warranty. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

DRINKING HAS A ME PROBLEM
im not too knowlagable about the TSX problems/issues. but unless the it has major issues like the 2nd gen TL/CL tranny issues you should be fine. i dont recall seeing too many or really any problems at all with anything on the TSX. so my semim knowlageable guess would be you should be good with keeping it.
sorry bout the spelling had alittle to drink.

So far, at least I think, none of those parts have been of any concern on TSX's. There probably aren't too many with 80K + so I don't think anyone can accurately answer your question.
Considering it's a Honda, I wouldn't be too worried.

I think you'll only run into some nagging issues. The only major issue I've had with my Hondas is a radiator leak on my '96 Integra. My wife's Civic needed new rear trailing arms (or whatever they're called that support the rear suspension.)
Both cars went over 200k on the original motor and tranny.
If your power window actuators haven't gone out yet, you're due.

Hey Chris,
Glad to hear you're still in the tsx. Anyway, my A/C system failed at about 52K miles (I was out on warrantee). Had it repaired at $1800, but I brought up the concern with Acura Client services. I was able to get the parts covered, but I paid for labor ($485). My driver's side lock actuator was replaced for a bit above $200 (at about 51K miles). My fuel/air mixture sensor failed at about 60K miles (CEL kept coming on - I scanned it and told them). My dealer couldn't figure it out, so I replaced this myself for $225. I had the good help of forum members here to figure this one. Typically emissions problems are covered for 7yr/70K miles or 8yr/80K miles depending on the problem, but I didn't want to keep bringing my car back to the dealer due to time off work.
Hope you're doing well sax man.

I have just turned 67k miles on my 04 TSX. Knocking on wood, the only issue I've had is the minor ones (aside from the radio lights out) talked about in the TSB thread. I'm getting a CEL right now from my RT Cat that won't go away, so I'm glad I still have my anti-foulers b/c they will be installed soon.
