Angry Pissed off! what should i do?

I bought some 18 inch Rays AX Style ME Wheels with new nitto tires from a member on the board and everything came all good

the only thing was that the wheels had some Chemical on them and it stripped the clear coat and it was flaking

so i saved money to get it refinshed i looked in the local craiglists and looked for wheel repair and found a mobile wheel repair in San Diego

So the guy got there around 9:30 AM guy is nice and everything so he tells me the damage is dip into the lower lip and tells me that he needs to buy the tool to get the 2nd piece off well.. long story short

we found out the wheel is wielded and its not 2 piece and he tells me that there will be some chemical left on the clear coat.... im like okay we cant do anything about it

so im like go ahead with the work so he starts working on the wheels well now he then tells me that he cant recover the mirror finsh on the wheel since he cant sand it all the way around.... well then im like okay fine....

so he gets working on the wheels some more he sands it down and gets the first wheel done looks good no more mirror finsh on the lip though

well its about 2 PM now and i have to get ready for work so i tell him im off and i left the check with my parents before i was leaving i asked him about the warrenty
he told me that there is no warrenty because he cant get some of the chemical out IM LIKE WTF

you should have told me that before you started well im like whatever i gotta go to work

so then coming home from work i look at the work he did and the 2 wheels were okay then the rest were horrible it has little spots on the clear coat i can clearly see he hurried up on the work

so i asked my dad what happend and he said he asked him why he was crappy and the guy said that i knew about it.

well no im thinking myself if i should stop the payment of the check... well i figuared i would ask him to fix it first

i called my bank the following morning and found out that he cashed the check early in the morning

so basicly its up to him if he wants to fix it or not... i called him and he said he would look at it tuesday morning but i doubt it..... sorrry for the long post

It's not unusual that the check has already cleared. With Check21, checks can clear overnight.

You're at his mercy.

Tuff break..

Hope he comes thru for you, but he sounds like a douche bag....consider it a cheap lesson in life....what can be done to salvage the ruined rims at this point?

disclosure

Did the seller disclose a problem of any kind to you in the very beginning?

It would seem they had problems beforehand...if that is the case you should have been told.
If you bought them "as is" you started with damaged goods..

If u go to the bank at which the check was issued it will clear right then and there. I do that alot when I have shady clients that I don't trust.

Bummer man, I wouldn't have trusted "traveling" wheel repair.

How bad does it look, I know you probably don't want to hear this but, you have any pics?

Rays AX Style ME? Does that mean they are not real Rays? You bought knockoff wheels and paid 400bux to refinish them?
