Which one would you choose...?
Hey guys, I have a choice to make and I wanted to get your opinion. My wife has a 2000 TL-P w/ Navi. 60k miles (awesome car! love it!) and I sold my Civic and I have $6,000 to put down towards another car. I want either a 3rd Gen TL, TSX, or a 2006+ Accord V6 but whatever i choose it has to have Navigation. I've been looking only in Atlanta because I'll be moving there in a week and thats where I'll buy the car.
Here is the problem... which one do I buy. I only want to spend at most $22k-$23k. I looked at TL's and all I could get for that money is an 04 with like 50k miles. TSX's I could get like a 2005 with about 30k miles. Lastly the Accord. I could get like a 2006 V6 with lower miles 10k-15k. I want the extra features the Acura's offer but is it worth buying a TL thats not even in warranty anymore or a TSX with less power. Also I will be having kids soon so I also have car seat fitment to think about. What do you guys think I should go with? All opinions are welcomed. Thanks!

The TSX is tight for a baby seat. I had problems with the rear-facing infant seat - the front seat had to be pushed too far forward, or put in a very upright position. I'd look closely at the other two if that's a concern, unless you do like me & leave the baby seat in your wife's car!
by looking at your situation.. I would go with the v6 accord.
1. better for your finaical situation.
2. you probably won't find 3 gen tl for that price.
3. tsx is bit smaller than accord. you might have difficult time with the baby seat.

Thanks for the input guys... First off it comes down to money, but then its like man the TL and TSX look so HOT! So many more options over the Accord. Yes, I could put the carseat in my wifes TL but I think whatever I get it will end up being my wifes car because I want to sell her TL when it reaches 100k miles (tranny issue... dont wanna take a chance) So thats why I mentioned the carseat problem.
Its impossible finding a 05 TL w/ Navi and avg. miles under $27k and yea I "could" do it but I dont really want to finance so much. The TSX on the other hand is awesome too just like the TL its hard finding an 05 w/ Navi under $25k. So, I dont know... I think Im going to end up spending more then I want to. I can see it now.. lol

I have an '06 6MT TSX and I it is a bit tight for the rear facing seat, but it is doable. I had to move my wife's seat up by a couple of inches...
And let's face it. They're in the rear-facing seat for a year, and you'll likely be keeping the car longer than that. As soon as they turn front-facing, you will be very happy with the TSX!

Its REALLY tight for a rear facing child seat, unless you put it in the middle seat. Moneywise though, I would recommend the v6 Accord...you can get it for cheaper with navi.
If you don't plan on getting the Hondata ECU mod, an 05 AT will be fine.

Don't put too much worry into the warnings about rear facing seats being tight. Kids are only in rear facing seats until they turn 1. After that they go to front facing which is no problem what so ever. it would be a shame to choose a car because of a situation which only lasts for a year or less.
If anything, you just don't take the TSX places when you need to have a front seat passenger. Heck, I had an Integra coupe and managed to fit my wife in the front seat with a rear facing seat behind her, and she is 5'-10" tall. It may not have been comfortable for long trips, but for around town it was just fine.
I say go for the TSX if you are looking for a sporty driving expereince. If you want comfort and luxury, go with the tL or Accord, whichever fits your budget.

It's actually being recommended now that kids stay rear facing for longer than 1 year. We had our son facing backward until he reached the rear-facing limit of his carseat at about 2 years.
