oil drain plug

What type of oil drain plug and washer do I need for oil change?

The plug you do not change. The washer is obtained from the parts department. It is called a crush washer. I have been told that the Acura oil filters have both a check valve and a bypass value. So, generic replacements for the oil filter may not be equivalent.

If you just buy a few oil filters at the dealership ($3/each when I bought a few), they'll give you the crush washers with the oil filters... Not very difficult. ** Although, make sure they did not slip the washers into the plastic covering the oil filter. They've been known to also get some plastic into the filter, which isn't exactly good for it... Just some food for thought. **
