For example, IMO, cars from Mazda and Mitsubishi are on par with cars from Hyundai. And I would say the Hyundai Sonata is a better value (and maybe car) than the Mazda6 or the Mitsubishi Galant.

That is my point. While the history may influence me I wouldn't judge a company based on it's country of origin alone.

And as far as I'm concerned mitsubishi and mazda are american cars. Just as american as the TL. so obviously country of origin doesn't always mean best/worst quality.

edit: of course I'd never compare a mazda6 to a sonata, cuz that'd be like comparing a speedboat to a barge.

I saw one on the road the other day and it actually looks very nice.
If I was looking for a luxury car on a budget, it would be this right here.

But this car is not in competition with the TSX.
The poor man's BMW 7-series.
