ok i noticed something extremely weird today~today i got in the car to drive away and when i press the "lock" button i heard a beep. i was like wtf? was that from the lock? and so i did it again. when i locked the car it beeped again..it stopped beeping after like the 4th time..so weird! anyone have this issue? i wonder what i is~

noo dude u guys might think im talking about the sound when lockin the car from outside with the remote. but im talkin about locking from the inside with the button on the door. this was when i was driving away.

 

where is the beep coming from, and does it sound anything like some of the other beeps we've heard before?

 

I'm guessing it's your cell phone alarm that went off at its best timing.

 

it was a faint beep coming from around the dash around there. well..i Can believe that it could have been from a cell phone but all 4 or 5 times? perfect timing? That i find hard to believe

 

When i shut off my car and my phone is paired to the car it beeps a few seconds after shutting off the car. I dunno maybe that is it.

 

i heard it again! it sounds more like a beep/hum

You are NOT crazy!!! I have an 04 TSX and I get the same thing once and a while. It is when the doors lock and I think it is comming from the drive door lock motor... It is a high pitched beep/humm sound that is for like 2-3 seconds. It only happens sometimes and I noticed it happens more if you hit the lock button when the door is locked already. I have only had this happen like 15 times since I bought the car in 04 and it is out of no where... I have no idea. It deffinitely there though. HE IS NOT CRAZY!

 

haha thank you thank you for backing me up. i honestly thought that i was the only one who noticed this. and yea u mentioned something i didn't, that it happens when u lock it once its already locked. hmm i Really wonder what it is. i've heard it two days in a row. maybe it Is a not so unusual thing and juss people dont hear it. i normally have my radio volume low so i hear everything.

 

I don't know but I would like to find out so I can replace the bad part. I really think it is the lock motor in the driver door.

 

hmm, maybe..but i never heard a motor beeping before. this Really irritates me...lol

 

Call Acura and let me know lol. Now that we just started talking about it, it happend to me this morning after the car was in the garage for like 15 hours. When I turn the car on it locks the doors because of the Viper alarm I put in and it went off... O well it doesnt bother me too much.

 

So did anyone ever find out what that beeping is from and how to fix it? There has to be a TSB

 

^^ I found out what it IS! its the door lock actuators. u can have the dealer check it out and replace under warrenty! btw, whats tsb? lol
