No NAVI to NAVI Mod?

I'm a proud owner of a new '06 Acura TSX. Unfortunately, I bought it w/o NAVI. An avid DIY'er, I've been trying to figure out a way to convert it to an Acura NAVI system. After weeks of research, I came up on the ACURAZINE site. I signed up as a member and ran up on flopez82's thread. Where he converted a non Navi to OEM NAVI system.

I realize that this message comes almost 2 years after he finished his project. But his was the only one I was able to find.

Has anyone lese done this conversion?

I cannot see the pics on his thread and was wondering if anyone that has done this mod, too, can forward me some pics of their finished work

Also, has it been working thus far?

Was it worth the spend?

How much wa the total cost?

Where did you buy all the parts?

Any help anyone can provide, I'd really appreciate. As I'm really eager to take this project on.

Thanks for your help.

Depends...how valuable is your time and effort? ;-) If I were my own boss, I'd give myself a pay rate of $200 / hour lol =P

I've searched all over and think I struck gold!

I found someone who is selling a complete system that came off of a 04/05 TSX. The system includes; LCD display with climate control and cd player, antena, DVD rom with the navigation DVD in the slot, and digital dispaly.

1st: Can Anyone advise what a fair price would be? I started the negotiation at $600.

2nd: Would it even fit my 2006 TSX?

I'd post pictures, I have them on my desktop, but don't know how to do it by IMG script.

I'm still concerned that I will lose XM and "Hands free Link". These are features new to the '06 NAVI unit.

Any comments, thouhgts?
