New guy here....just saying hi.
How's it going guys? I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks and decided to register and say hi. You've got a nice forum. I just purchased my new TSX a couple of weeks ago, and I freaking love it. I've never owned a "car" before...man have I been missing out.
I'm what you would call a car audio nut. I've had several nice systems in the past and will be installing a new one in the TSX soon. I've got to say, the stock system in her sucks....I mean bad. The only problem is I've never seen a vehicle that seems so difficult to upgrade. I didn't get the Navi, ....seemed like a waste since there are only like four roads around here....., so the HU pretty much takes up the entire center of the dash. I haven't decided yet on which products to use this time around. I'm leaning toward Alpine or JL, but may go with something else. The plan is to replace the factory door speakers, throw out the 6x9's, add a couple of amps, and a sub or two. I'll post some pics when it's done. I'm going to leave the stock HU alone for now and see what it sounds like after everything else is done. To be honest with you, I really don't want to start cutting up the dash in this car. It just doesn't seem right. If I don't like it, the local shop can custom make a new center dash to fit a HU. We'll see.
Anyway, I'm going to be hanging out here in the future, and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm fairly knowledgeable in car audio, and hope I can contribute in some way. I'll be asking a few questions from time to time, so just deal with it.
As soon as I figure out how to post pics here, I'll show some from my last vehicle...an '05 Avalanche. Talk about going from one extreme to another. I couldn't have bought a more different vehicle from what I had. But, I do so very much love her.
Later.....

Thanks! So far, so good. She hasn't disappointed me in the least. I've also received several compliments from people I've met. Since I'm from a smallish community, the TSX really stands out as something different.
If any of you have experience in car audio, I have a few questions posted over on that board. Having to keep the stock HU is complicating things some. Any advice is highly appreciated.
I'll post some pics of her this weekend. Thanks again.
