Need some help concerning Seats--- please?? lol
Hey guys.
I have a 1992 Prelude that I want to retrofit some nice comfortable but sporty seats into. To fit that bill I am looking for 2nd Gen TL/CL seats, but since i fear they will be too wide, I'm also considering TSX seats---
So for that reason I am asking for some help to measure the seats for me.
I need the following measurements if possible....
The total width of the actual seat bottom from side to side (just to see if it'll even fit between my door and center console)
From the seat in its most vertical position, the height of the seat from the rails (basically the floor) to the very top of the head rest. (just to see if the seat itself will even fit in the car without hitting the ceiling lol (the 4rd gen Prelude is pretty low profile)
And last, (the hardest) if possible push the seat alll the way back (or forward) so that you can see the holes that bolt the seat down to the car. I'd like the width from the Left bolt to Right bolt (east to west) I dont need the Front to back bolt dimension beacuse I plan on taking the back seats out of my prelude anyway (they're pretty much useless as you can't fit anyone back there anyway)
I expect to have some custom rails made anyway, but I still want to see what I'm working with.
I know its a lot to ask guys but if anyone has a set of seats sitting around in their garage or has some extra time to just whip out a measuring tape for me I'd really appreciate it!
Lastly, if I deem this possible, anyone know of anyone that has a set for sale?
Thanks in advance!!!

In all honesty, I would not label the 1st Gen TSX sporty at all. You are better off looking for RSX seats. A lot more RSX owners swap out their seats, so there's lots for sale.

I wanted sporty with a lot more err to the luxury side.
I want comfortable, heated seats.
Does anyone know if the RSX was ever available with heated front seats?
