I inputted the code found on some tags on the keychain on the valet key - no go.
Can Acura resolve this over the phone?

What's stupid is it locks out not only the Nav but also the AC and audio controls

 

that istn the navi code, thats the code to get your keys replaced
look in the manual or in the papers that came with the car, it should say there somewhere

if you cant find it, call up acura and give em your vin

 

Do you have the codes in the glovebox, owners manual? Usually two plastic cards with codes on them.

 

If you open the glovebox, look on the outer left side and you should see the codes on two stickers. One is 5 numbers long, the other is 4 numbers long.

like atm cards you only have 3 changes to put in the right pin-numer. otherwise it locks ups- your nav. code probably is with your owners manual and other things the code you are using is to get replacement keys, if you wait a bit atfer you mess up on the code you can start again
