Looks good
I'm curious, when you first start your car in the morning, does your Navi appear dim until 30-60 seconds after warming up? I know it's normal for a display to do this, but some people say they're lucky and it doesn't happen. (regardless if it's the weather is cold or not)

Basically, you would need to copy a BIN file from your DVD to your hardrive. After that you would need a hex editor program to change the default value to the one you want. The same if you want to change your nag screen. Once you are done, burn the BIN file to a CD or DVD and take it to your car to load it to your navi unit's flash memory. Each time you start your car, it will use what you loaded into the flash memory, and it will work unless you remove the battery power. After that you would have to use your CD and load it again.
If you want, I can write a quick manual for it. I don't want to start another Navi hack thread, since there are so many of them out there in the TL forum already.

Great News for people with version 3.60
Ok I finally did it. Took me the whole night and 5 CD to get this working.
I was able to remove the OK button and now you don't have to press it anymore. It will automatically boot up and go to the map. For those who has version 3.60 DVD with loading file BNHN404A.BIN, I'm willing to edit the nag screen and remove the OK button for a few of you. I work during the day, so I can probably help with 1 person / night until this Friday probably.
Here is the new video with it working: http://www.youtube.com/v/As9dnf9viE0
What you would need to send me is what you want to put on your nag screen when it boots up. If not I will send you the link to download the BNHN404A.BIN file with the original text and the OK button removed.

Ohhhh, no more "OK" button...finally somebody makes some progress!
This is going to get a ton of people all excited.
I don't have my TSX today, so I have no idea what version I'm running. Mine's an 06, so I'm guessing I'm probably not in luck here, right?

Hi tuon, I was wondering if you could help me out. Can you email me the file so I can just burn it straight to a cd? I want exactly what you have text wise, just change the name from tuon to Dale, and keep the factory splash screen. I just don't want to have to push ok everytime I start the system up. My email is thomawilson@yahoo.com. I would really appreciate it if you would help me out.
Thanks
Thanks

Here is the link to download the navi.exe file (wait for the countdown at the bottom of the page to reach 0, and then you can download)
http://files-upload.com/249945/navi_mod.exe.html
What you will need to do is to open this up using a hex editor (try googling with "xvi32")
Once it's opened, Press CTRL+G. This allows you to jump to a specific field in the file.
To change the default background color of the day time map, go to cell: 494FF8. Replace the next 3 cells (CF DB E8) to your choices. //CF DB E8 is what I use.
To change the default background color of the night time map, go to cell: 495058. Replace the next 3 cells (00 00 00) to your choices. //00 00 00 is what I use.
To change the disclaimer text, go to cell 449242
Line 1 will start at 449242. You can only enter 38 characters maximum on this line
Line 2 will start at 4492A9. You can only enter 35 characters maximum on this line
Line 3 will start at 44930A. You can only enter 43 characters maximum on this line
Line 4 will start at 44936E. You can only enter 23 characters maximum on this line
Line 5 will start at 4493C8. You can only enter 41 characters maximum on this line
Line 6 will start at 449434. You can only enter 24 characters maximum on this line
Line 7 will start at 449474. You can only enter 30 characters maximum on this line
Line 8 will start at 4494CE. You can only enter 28 characters maximum on this line
This is how it look if every character is filled in.

After you are done, save it and use the DumpNavi console tool (can download from here: http://www.linuxkiddies.com/projects/navi/) to update your navi.exe with this navi_mod.exe back to your BNHN404A.BIN file.

Well I was a little lazy to put back the original text, so I made a typical screen for everyone.
This will have the original startup image. The text will be:
WELCOME
.: Please Wait :.
This will be centered in the middle of the screen. If you want to add your name after WELCOME and recenter the text, you can PM me. I can only take a few request only. I get bored after doing a couple of them.
To download the BNHN404A.BIN file, use this link: http://files-upload.com/250482/BNHN404A.BIN.html

i will try to do this when i get home. hoping that typing original bin will work because nothing else has let me put the hmimanager back into the bin. i have an 06. i know it will work if i can just manage to get the hmi back into the bin without the computer stopping me. but i don't have navi.exe on my disk. hope i can figure this out. thanks for the help. i'll post if i get it right.

I used bysin to extract the hmimanager from 06Touch2.bin as long as i have the compress.dll file there it will extract without any errors. I make the changes to the words, keeping it the same file size and length then save it as hmimanager1.dll but still when i try to update it back into the bin, it says hmimanager cannot be found. even if i try to update the hmimanager that i just extracted it won't go back in. maybe cebin will work, but i'm having a very hard time trying to make it work right. i guess i don't know what else to put besides the basic command it lists in the help file. soooo any help? BTW i'm doing more advanced stuff now yet i can't make the picture show up. i keep getting blank screens and wasting 5 disks now. oh well, i would rather have the custom text than the picture.

I really want to know how to alter the Navi disc so I can put my own picture up and change the words without the ok button. I am good with computers but the hex editor I have no Idea. What should I read in order to figure out how to use it. What year tsx do you have and the navi disc? I have an 04 and its the stock one that came with it. I want to upgrade but I dont know what I should do.

Tuoncan, Great mod!!! I have the orange 3.30F disk and I was thinking about geting the new 3.60 disk today. I was wondering if it will work on the 3.30 disk as of now? I have a defferent loading bin though. Mine is BN2HN18B.bin I am guessing that is the one I have to do the mod to correct? I really want to get rid of the nag screen but I need directions to follow. can you please help me out?
