My first real complaint

Could they have made the opening for the trunk just a little smaller???? I went to Home Depot to pick up a garden hose reel, and while it would have fit in the trunk, it would not fit through the opening. I noticed this on my first road trip when some of the luggage barely squeezed into the opening.

Hmmm didn't ever really notice that and I just moved and moved a good deal on my stuff in my car. I never had any problems.

How big was this thing?

Some of my larger bags are almost exactly the size of the opening, but I've never had trouble getting anything in there...

that would be quite a scene. A tsx going down the road with a lawn mower in the trunk. Thats why you get a small pickup truck, to do your dirty work with!

I dunno. Seems fine for me. I once brought home one of those gazelle freestyle's from the store, plus a 29 gallon fish tank, plus a 29 gallon stand all in one trip.
Wasn't too bad. TSX did pretty well.

Then picked up GF's mom at the airport and of course she brought two of the biggest suitcases i've ever seen. Seemed to fit fine.

I guess your hose real must've been huge.
Did you try putting it in the back seat?

I can put 3 sets of golf clubs in my trunk and still have extra room, I plan on transporting my Greddy EVO2 catback in it in a couple weeks. I haven't had ne problems with the trunk opening. In Fact, I think it's a really large trunk...

I can get two, maybe three rolls of carpet with adult bodies wraped inside, or four to five if the bodies are smaller. The trunk tray keeps the fluids contained, too. No complaints here...

really? I have a TL, and I could only get two adult males in bondage equipment in my trunk last week and thats without any carpet. I think acura;s trying to jip me or something. The third had to sit in the back seat, and i was afraid the whole time that his handcuffs were gonna scratch my leather. I ended up getting him into the trunk after all though. (HINT: think TAZER) I've also found if you cuff them with mittens on, they can't take duct tape off the trunk release, but can move around just enough to get some fresh air through the pass-thru. As for the trunk tray, my dealer wanted too much for it, so I'm just using a blanket to catch those unsightly bodily fluids.

Can't you just fold the seats down instead of sticking it through the passthrough? Or is that not an option?

No! It's the TSX... arr, I mean JDM Accord Wagon!

Seriously, I have done a pretty big Ikea haul-&-build-it-yourself shopping trip and stuffed the trunk completely full with boxes of various sizes/shapes. They all fit through the trunk openning fine, but did require some puzzle-solving type strategy for the loading order, etc.

Overall, I think the trunk and the openning are OK for the size of car the TSX is.

I have fit 3 sets of clubs in cart bags (which are bigger than stand bags) and a small cooler with some room to spare. Only problem I have is that the NAV unit hangs down a little too low.

Thats the other thing, when your inside the trunk, it looks like the seats should fold down. (their's like a seperate, unattached wall where the seat backs are), but in the TL, I can't see to find any lever to lower them.

Want to see a scary small trunk opening that's near useless, the newer gen Volvo S40 I'm not sure grocery bags would fit. We test drove one while shopping the TSX, I laughed at the show room....We needed a car a stroller, etc. may fit in one day years from now as I'm sure we'll still have this car--the S40 was a joke!

I've never had an issue with the TSX trunk, plenty big.

Really? Hard to believe for a Japanese... the only Japanese sedan with no fold-down that I know of is the G35, but that's because of the sweet bucket seats in the back.

OK... I've had my first case of something not fitting through both the trunk openning and the fold-down seats.

It was a big-ass, half-dead NEC 19" CRT monitor that I was hauling to an old monitor "recycling" depot. Had I removed the turning stand (clips plus one screw holding it down, didn't bother to unscrew), it would have fit through the trunk openning. So ended up letting it sit in the back seat - no worry, had clean cardboards shielding the seat back and surface even put the seatbelt on for it

I can vouch for that, I drive a G3 TL and they dont fold down any way i know how. Curious though, when you're in the trunk they appear to be fold down. (they are a seperate board from the trunk like the trunk had an opening but the flat seat backs closed it with their own, seperate wall)
