My car got keyed last night

:angryfire

Pictures when I get into work. It's on my driver rear door to the gas door. I am NOT happy.

Sorry man. To paraphrase Pulp Fiction, "There is nothing more chickenshit than f'ing with a man's vehicle."

Did you tick anyone off lately? Cut someone off in traffic? Someone get fired at your job lately? Anything? Probably just bored a-hole kids...

That sucks. I keep getting new scratches somehow, and it's not from me.

I walk out of my condo at about 7:15 this morning to my car. Upon arriving at said car, I notice a long white streak. At first, I thought it may have been some spider webbing but upon closer inspection, someone had keyed my car. It ran from the driver side rear door all the way to the gas door. I inspected it enough to figure it couldn't have been any other object other than that. The key chipped the paint where the door meets the frame when they carried the key all the way down the side.

I was parked in a parking space where there is only 1 car parked beside me and I parked close to the curb so that people had enough space to walk through and that the passenger to the car parked beside me had enough room (a lot) to get out without hitting my driver side door.

I think it should buff out, rather filled in, but the etchings will remain unless I really want it worked on.

Anyhow, here are some pictures:

How my car was parked...

Keyed

Not as bad as I first thought, but still, not cool. Hopefully you can get most of it out.

Do you have a handicap parking pass? Is that no longer a handicap spot?

I wouldn't be at all surprised if someone took it upon themself to exact vigilante "justice" on you for parking in a handicap place if you don't have a pass for it. That was the first thing to come to mind when I saw the picture of the parking spot.

nah...that's a normal spot for residents of the condo.

There was a G35 parked across from me also.

damn, that sucks. sorta like mine when my car got keyed. the keying was a lot deeper but not nearly as long. but it hit the same spots. door panel. gas lid. and the edges of the fender around the gas lid. you can see some pics here.

cost me a good amount to get it re-painted. i don't understand why people have to eff with another person's car. why would anyone derive joy from ruining someone's property? idiots.

I've used Quixx paint scratch removal kit (<$20). Works good for light to medium scratches. If the scratch is down to metal, Quixx won't work.

Sorry to hear that happened.

Thats what happens when you own a well balanced sexy looking, luxury sport sedan. People get jealous.

I would try to polish that out.

I know how it feels man. Someone stole my "A" badge on the trunk and left a DEEP scratch along with it. It's like they dug a screw driver just to get to the bottom of the badge to lift it out. Your keyed scratch isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Looks like it can be fixed easily with a little wetsand. My primered deep scratch needed a touch up paint and still doesn't look the same.

Mine got keyed across both door panels and rear fender just a year ago...
I actually used some touchup paint along the whole scratch and then I polished it out so it's not AS visible but it's still there
The only thing I could do is hope that karma will get whoever did this and hopefully they get their arms amputated for that kind of shit.

Damn dude, sorry to hear! I've just stopped caring about my exterior. Too many people just slam their doors into my doors, key it, leave dings, side swipe me, rear end me, back into me.

It all just doesn't matter to me until I'm done with school and get a real job to fix it.

Same thing happen to me. Mine went from the passenger side rear quarter panel up to the passenger side front door. Then about another 2 inch scratch on the front fender.

That blows bud ...if you ever find out who did it, do us all a favor and introduce your foot to their teeth sometime. That was clearly not an accident.
