clear bra question!

Hey guys,

I just had a clear bra put on my 07 TSX. Anyway, I also had the thicker 20mm 3M clear bra material added to the fog lights since those are always cracking. Anyway, I'm kind of skeptical to use my fog lights now. Will the heat of the fog lights burn the clear bra material that is currently on them? Has anyone used their fog lights after adding a clear bra? If so, did you notice any burn marks? Did you use your fogs during hotter weather?

Thanks!

I have an 06 with the 3M clear bra on the front end and head/fog lights since May/06. I keep my fogs turned on all the time when my headlights are on and I haven't noticed any burning in 4 years. The 3M product has held up pretty well in 4 years (5 yr warranty). I can see where the product has saved my front end and lights from rock strikes that would of cracked the lens or chipped the paint. The product is starting to look a little fadded on the headlights, I haven't tried waxing to see if that would fix the problem.

I have regular OEM lights in my fogs, I don't know if you went aftermarket with the brighter/hotter bulb if that would cause any problems.

I have the OEM bulbs in my fogs. I was just worried that the fogs would get too hot when they were on and I was sitting at stop lights, or waiting for trains, etc. Do you leave your fogs on during these times as well?

Thanks much!

Yep!

I don't use my headlights/fogs during the day (except when it is raining or snowing). I've driven my car in El Paso, Phoenix/Tucson, Salt Lake City, Denver and every place inbetween in all kinds of weather and had no problems with burn from the fogs on the 3M film.

3M makes a pretty good product, it can take the heat from the OEM fog lights.
