Mirror Tilt in Reverse

I have a 2004 and I find myself often manually turning the passenger side mirror down when I'm in reverse so I can see what I'm running over. I believe the 06+ TSX had a feature to auto-tilt down the mirrors. Is there some module I can install or something to have my 04 do this? I would find it very handy

Yea get the module from KP. I have it and have been slacking in installing it as I had my boy do two of the other modules I bought and just been delaying. From the looks of it it seems to work great.

how hard is the installation for the kp module? I hate working in limited space especially when it comes to rewiring stuff

Hey. We've PM'd back and forth about this module awhile ago. Do you think you'd be willing to do a pictorial DIY when you install your reverse mirror module? It would be great for the forum and the rest of us!

Sure I can try it out. My boy will be doing this one as he is more knowledgeable about car wiring systems than me and I will be working on my suspension. But I will take pics and try to explain the best I can. We tried to do it with the other modules but trying to find the wiring diagrams and being mad late we got fed up with the pics lol.

Planning to do my coilovers, new rims, garmin navi, and mirror tilt module all at the same time. Just depends whenever my Buddyclubs come in. I am on T S X Club more often than this but if I can get a DIY I will post it to both sites. Installation isn't too hard in general but it is tight to get to this wiring and the wires are so tight packed. My previous car (Toyota) was a million times easier to work on when it comes to the wiring lol.

Instructions (with pictures) for the installation of the KPTech mirror-tilt module can be found here:

Yea that was done off of the Accord. From my install on my other two modules (1 touch sunroof and auto lock/unlock doors) it's similar but was different with the color of wires, for my car at least. I remem bc I had to find a wiring diagram which listed all the color wires and what they did since some colors were different things and others just weren't present. Life couldn't be easy for it lol. I can check when I get the install done on the colors to see if they're the same for this module at least (I hope so, make life easier lol).

I've had it on my car for a while now. It works pretty well. You have to be careful though if you adjust your mirror as the settings you adjust on the Kp module will need to be redone. Also, for those with 6MT, you have to put into reverse twice to set off the module; this can be a bit annoying if you have that problem where when the car is cold and it doesn't want to go into reverse on the first try, you'll set the module off.

All-in-All, very good module for those who parallel park and back into spaces a lot.
